Grey Windy Tuesday

Eeeek! Look what happens when Mags is on holiday!!! Still, on the good side it is still the morning.

Unseasonably cold here this morning. Wish we could have some more of our summer back. Anyone else going to put £1 in the sunshine meter????

Nothing much to report here - OH is baking a pecan and maple syrup cake for later and I have hospital again this afternoon.

Have a good day everyone!

Re: Grey Windy Tuesday

It's not a nice day is it? I have a long sleeved t-shirt but still felt the need for a light nylon jacket when I went out with Dinah. It looks as though it could rain at any minute (oh, that reminds me - I felt what I thought was a big, thundery spot of rain on my head but it was immediately followed by birdy noises! Oh no! *goes off to look in mirror*. Phew - it's OK! Must have been a single spot of rain!)
Talking of birds, mine are really enjoying the 'Fledgeling Mix' I've got for them. All the good grain/seed things, plus mealworms. Hundreds of them, yukky yukky! But it seems to meet with their approval ++. Sparrows, tit varieties, starlings and pigeons poking around underneath for the spillage.
Right - off I go to find my pound for the sunshine! Hope the hospital appointment goes well again today angie

Afternoon ladies. Back in the office from a visit to our solicitor's office to sign lots of papers. Have a client in at 3 and lots to do inbetween! Weather grey but not wet or windy here.

It would be nice to have a return to warmth and sunshine; I have jeans and boots on again.

Re: Grey Windy Tuesday

Afternoon,

Its cloudy and a tad windy but still a bit warm.

Just got in from work.

I may be having a change of career coming my way (or i may take on a 3rd job !!!!
Ive been a qualified Beauty Therapist for 6 years and have worked in salons before and I do a bit of mobile with family etc.
But my friend is looking round for a room to rent and if she finds one I'll be going in to it as well.
I'm not really sure if I want to do it or not though yet , as I'm quite shy but I have come out of my shell in the last few years, which I'm so happy about. Its just clients..... they scare me lol.
I can chat all day to the customers in Asda (where I do my jewellery job) they are so friendly... most of them anyway!

Got a bit carried away with that then lol soz.

Im taking Jake to the vets tonight about his ticks and injections.

Enjoy the rest of the day people.

Re: Grey Windy Tuesday

Rudely awakened at my usual time this morning to a very loud t'storm which seemed to be just above my house! Pulled the covers over my head, tried to go back to sleep and gave up all plans for errands this morning. Storm is over but it's grey and dank, much cooler than normal (23C); a far cry from gorgeous yesterday. And more storms forecast for afternoon ......

Janey, I'd never have guessed you were shy with people; you come thru in your posts as a friendly, warm outgoing person!! I hope you decide what's best for you; why not give the job a try?
Angie, cake sounds yummy; hope the hospital visit goes well again.
DM, you didn't give us the dinner menu today! I always look forward to your interesting meals. I'm fixing an African dish that doesn't really have a name tonight: rice, beans, peanuts. onions and garlic, tomatoes and lots of hot peppers; got the recipe from a lovely Nigerian girl who was interning with us many Summers ago.

I will feed the sunshine meter if I can find it! Enjoy the day, even though the wether is less than optimal: could be January and snowing!

I think it's BOGOF fish'n'chips from the local chippie tonight DM! Hardly the height of cullinary whatever, but nice evry once in a while and two for the price of one is fine (because it is no longer a cheap option at full price)
