Wet Wednesday

Glug, glug - what a wet night and still throwing it down now. So much for my planned day at the allotment. Hopefully it will dry up by this afternoon and I'll just go and water( ) (in the polytunnel) and pick any strawberries that have survived the deluge and escaped the slugs! Ugh!

Re: Wet Wednesday

No rain here, but it's becoming increasingly overcast. Nice to read all the bouyant activity here yesterday - I sadly don't feel very jovial at the moment so don't have much to contribute.

I trimmed all the spare foliage off my tomato plants yesterday and will feed them tonight to further encourage flowers rather than leaves. They look at bit nekkid but hopefully not for long!

And that folks, is about it - evertything else is work related updates or just a big long moan so I'll stop now

Re: Wet Wednesday

Rain seems to have stopped for now here, but it feels a bit too chilly for June!

Molly's just gone out into the garden and is lying under the big conifer, watching the starlings who have descended en masse this morning with all their very noisy youngsters.

I'll be keeping an eye on the dog today as he wasn't very well last night, threw up his supper and was feeling very sorry for himself, just snuggled up on the sofa and cuddled really close all evening. He looks a lot brighter now, had his breakfast at 7.30 and so far so good. Fingers crossed it was "just one of those things"

Hope the day is bright wherever you are.

Re: Wet Wednesday

It's chucked it down here this morning too and although it's not raining atm, it's grey and cold. I'm back to 2 sweaters and woolly socks!

Had a very wet little Kizzy pouncing on the bed this morning and so had to quickly find a handful of tissues to get the worst off her - she loved it! Had wet paw marks all over the cover, but luckily not muddy ones. The pawprints on the window sill though have given me some ideas .......... and reading last evening hilarious posts!

Don't forget QUIZ tonight folks - please try and join in - it's good fun and we really aren't very serious and it's definitely the case that the more the merrier!

Re: Wet Wednesday

Morning all, its been raining here stopped now but looks like its going dark!

Im suffering with hayfever today I thought I had got rid off it but nope, it well does my head in, ive had it for 20 years!!!

We took Jake to the vets yesterday and he had his injections (he was such a good boy, even the vet said he was and that he looked alot better and his coat was nicer) he's now tick free, whoooop!

We had him in the house last night (I made a post in the cat related chat bit!)

Have a nice day all.

P.s, DM think i might take that Beauty job if we can rent a room coz work is just getting ridiculous now, if we have a break the time comes out of our wages and if we aint dressed properly we get warnings and a load of other stuff which is really petty things.

Re: Wet Wednesday

Grey, cloudy and 25C; yet more t'storms forecast for the afternoon, Thursday and Friday! We had another nasty series about dinner time yesterday; we seem to be stuck in a pattern of them. Ugh. Lots of trees and power lines down, but fortunately not in my neighborhood. A cool wet Spring seems to be turning into a cool wet Summer... No news, just the usual market run.

MrsH I hope Morgan is OK now; could he have eaten something nasty outside? Janey, what a lot of petty things on your job to contend with!
Yola, sorry you're feeling so down, ((hugs)))
Angie, couldn't help but laugh at the wet Kizzy in the bed!

Hope to see people at the quiz!

Re: Wet Wednesday

Rainy, chucking it down really..... so I thought oh goody! I can play my new game Sims 3. Hmmmm froze my computor, really fouled up my graphics and so I then spent three hours downloading a repair, not that the repair took that long but a. computor kept freezing. b. where do I go? Anyway tis all fixed now but my new game is obviously unplayable. Its weird because the computor meets all the perameters of the game.

So I will go and check the other forums to see if this is happening to anyone else.

Sigh.

Re: Wet Wednesday

Scary thunderstorms here today the rain has eased off a bit now though. I'm hoping my plants will like it? I'm collecting the rain water in a bucket so I can use it to water them if the weather ever gets warmer.
Had quite a good day today, my boss has agreed that I can start offering feline renal clinics which I'm really pleased about
I'm off on an extra training day next week too which will hopefully be really interesting although it will be a very long day- leaving at 6am, home at 9pm.
No apprentice tonight so wil lhopefully be able to make the quiz.
