Wednesday daily

No daily thread started yet? Well, I guess I'm first!!!
It's 2:41am here right now..we leave for the hospital in less than two hours (must be there by five am).
Mother arrived safely via train. Everything seems to be set (let's hope) and once I was finished with everything and ready for bed I would have to get up in about an hour and a half anyhow so I am just up and haven't slept and won't for quite awhile. My mom wasn't able to sleep either so we're kind of commiserating.
Anyhow, I hear the ICU waiting room has a computer. Maybe I'll log on and bug you guys while I'm waiting for news and trying not to go insane. Otherwise, I'll just update when I can.
Love to you all, hope you all have a good day.
Tink

Re: Wednesday daily

Morning TinkN morning all! Overcast and windy here today, don't mind being at work so much when the weathers like this!! Rang Aberdeen council today as I've heard nothing off them for a while, they said they have received my disclosure check but are still waiting on my references, so I've rang both of my referees and both have said that they have been sent back, 1 was sent last week the other was sent the day she received it which would have been about 2/3 weeks ago now Rang the council back who said they will see if they receive them tomorrow, if they don't the will resend the references out!! Its so frustrating, I just want to get up there and get started now but looks like this is going to hold it off for another few weeks hope evrything goes ok Tink, thinking of you both (((hugs)))

Re: Wednesday daily

Apologies for late arrival - I'll explain later.
I've been thinking of you Tink; hope all goes well with you and you easily find the inner esources you'll need. I think you will.
I've been at the allotments all day, helping with a rabbit-proof fence. Sounds like an Aussie film doesn't it, but nothing so nasty as that excellent piece. We're mostly fenced off but there were areas which needed axtra protection, so I've been part of a work detail. All day! Missed lunch too - so I'm looking forward to my meal tonight; pea and asparagus risotto and .... strawberries. Strawberry sandwiches, strawberry soup, strawberry stew, stir fried strawberries! Not really, but it is definite glut time; I should make some jam.
Hope everyone has a good day - I must look at the new posts to check on any news.

Re: Wednesday daily

Tink. healing and comforting vibes coming, you both are in my thoughts today.

Gloomy and dank here. drizzle and only 16C ...our normal high for this time of the year is 29! No shorts today. Decided I could skip errands so had a nice late sleep, got the trash/recycling out early before the drizzle turned to rain, and am working on questions for the quiz tonight. Hope some of you will join me.

Erin, hope things get sorted out soon; how frustrating for you. DM, my Mom had a decadent recipe for strawberries; will post if you or anyone is interested. Leesy, you've been busy today catching up!

Hope it's a good day for all.

Re: Wednesday daily

Sending my good wishes to you and your OH, Tink. Thinking of you.

I have a very hoarse voice today. I had a wonderful night at the Take That concert in Cardiff, danced myself silly, sore feet and blisters but I'm grinning like a Cheshire cat

Even the wind and rain can't get me down, I'm still on a high!

Re: Wednesday daily

Hi guys. I am posting from the ICU waiting room's computer. K has been under the knife for four hours now. They might even be able to get him done in six hours total but probably more likely eight.
Anxiously awaiting his surgeon...killing time talking to K's Mom and stepdad, my mom, drawing, reading, watching tv, and shopping at the gift shop.
Lots of love, will update when I can.
Love,
Tink
