Friday's thread

Well, we have had the ranting and swearing as OH thought he'd lost his car key (turned out to be at the bottom of his man-bag) We've waved at the bin men; Sebi insisted and I am still in my pyjamas without my hair brushed or lenses in

Shortly Sebi and I will be off to the vet with Balie. It's a lovey morning and it's just around the corner so I think we'll walk. Later I have to run into town for more Dr Hauschka stuff and something for father's day. Then my brother is popping over for a bit. Will probably go down to the allotment after picking Dominik up as I really must get my chicory seedlings out of their tray now and ito the ground.

Have a lovely day everyone

Re: Friday's thread

Hi there,

WOW Yola what a busy day you have got scheduled for today, it makes my day seem rather dull compared to yours, I am having to wait in again for Maxi`s food delivery as it didn`t turn up yesterday .

OH`s mum survived her knee replacement op even though she was feeling very groggy and in quite abit of pain which I suppose is only to be expected.

Have a great day everybody, the sun is shinning here so hopefully we will have a lovely day weather wise.

Morning all! Up early coz I'd forgotten it was Father's Day on Sunday, mad dash to the shops now.Yola, men and car keys... nuff said, mine is terrible with his specs too!
Hope your food delivery gets in today Pauline, so annoying to have wasted a day waiting in best wishes to your mum, hopw she's feeling heaps better today.

Have another busy work day scheduled, lots of heavily preggie mums with swollen feet in clinic, poor dabs, they suffer in the summer heat. Although its quite overcast here at the moment, its changeable to say he least!

Re: Friday's thread

Hello everyone! Lovely warm day with blue sky and a few clouds here today. We have a couple of OH's old basketball friends over for lunch today - meant to be informal, but these sort of things have never been easy for me! OH has gone off to get some French bread - everything else is more or less ready, just some last minute vacuuming etc. to be done. MIL also knows the couple as she used to get roped in for timekeeping duties many years ago. Did I say - after the visit from the Memory Nurse, MIL was put on an anti-psychotic pill ("the magic pill") and she is a different woman! She still has some hallucinations, but they are not so frequent but she has brightened up and laughs and is enjoying life once more. We are all so relieved - she is her pleasant self once again.

Hope all poorly people feel better today. And, it's FRIDAY!

Angie - that's amazing! I'm so pleased your MIL has recovered some of her quality of life. Medication can be a wonderful thing

Re: Friday's thread

Got son and girlfriend coming this weekend so need to go and do a bit more shopping than usual later on, the beer stock is a bit too low and the fruit bowl's almost empty. Father's Day on Sunday, daughter's birthday on Tuesday so it's a good time for a lovely family get-together.

I picked a few roses this morning, they're flowering really heavily this year and it's lovely having their scent indoors. I have to say (fingers crossed) there's not a lot of aphid attack so far this year. Must be all those birds in the garden gobbling them up!

Re: Friday's thread

Hi, all, a nice day here: mix of sun and clouds and 22C now, predicted to get warmer as the day goes on. Also more t'storms in the afternoon we've already had over 5", well over the monthly average already! Lots of errands this am: bank, liquor store and market, as I skipped yesterday because of not feeling well. Am fine today.

I'm excited: a new Farmers Market is opening tomorrow down at the Flea Market location, will give it a look. It will be there thru October; hope to get some luscious locally grown fruit and vegetables.

Angie, great news about MIL! Hope your food comes today, Leesy! Yola, off to read why Bailie's going to the vet. And great news about K!

Take care, have nice day.
