Has familiarity bred complacency?

I just wondered after revisiting the thread from 2005 about CRF and then glancing through some older threads does the fact we are mostly all so familiar with each other breed the complacency, as the thread although it was "close to my heart" seemed to gain interest and suggestions from others....so are we just getting more secure with each other knowing "the appropriate person" will answer.

Just mulling over in my head this thought.

Re: Has familiarity bred complacency?

Well, Kazz, I can personally say that if I post a question about cats health/behavior, etc. I'm sure that I'll get prompt, helpful and caring responses. So I'm definitely secure with everyone; wouldn't call it complacent exactly.

Not so sure about being complacent but I do think that on the whole, people are very supportive here and we do have many very knowledgable and approachable members.

So right, CM! And I like it that it's not all serious all the time like some forums. I enjoy the lighthearted bits, chatting about gardens, cooking, the quiz and word games, etc. We have gotten to know one another much better....and as often been said, it's a friendly forum.
