Have a good day Janey - take your sunscreen with you!

It's a scorcher here today - MIL is restless, she does not like the heat. Kizzy is indoors, well, I wouldn't like the heat with her thick fur coat either. I love the heat - and hope to go out and sit with a book later on. I'll have my sunscreen on and my sun hat!

Have a good day everyone - remember the Aussie adage "Slip, Slop, Slap"!!!

Re: Glorious Wednesday

It's warm here too but sunshine is intermittent with a slight breeze. I'm sitting here absolutely ravenous - OH has promised to take me to the pub for a 'pie n a pint' shortly (in reality it'll probably be a salad and a wine but that's just being pernickety ).

Will need to swing by the allotment tonight to do some watering as it's dry out there. I'm going to have to invest in a hose I think as I get drenched and mucky when watering with a can and that doesn't do when coming straight from work!

Tomatos are repotted into big pots at home . . . again, just need to keep feeding and watering as they are covered in flowers and some of the toms are already massive (but till green)!!

Re: Glorious Wednesday

Afternoon! It's very gorgeous here and we've had to stop the happy wanderer going of on her own, caught her in next doors garden again. I'm doing a spot of sunning then retiring indoors for the odd drink of squash, I get too hot coz of my hormone/fat combo. plus I've got a summer cold that has given me a really croaky voice and nasty dry cough. Doing cold chicken salad wraps for lunch. Back to the kitchen I guess, see you later.

Re: Glorious Wednesday

Gorgeous on my side of the Pond too: cloudless blue skies, low humidity. nice breeze and warm! 25C now and will make 31 by afternoon, my kind of weather. Too nice for errands today, been out in the garden enjoying the sun and pulling some weeds.... truthfully more sitting and enjoying than weeding.!

Am a bit concerned about Leia ...found a very runny poo when I went to clean the box this morning, which is extraordinary for her. She seems fine otherwise: no warm ears, cool moist nose, ate her breakfast as usual, no change in her food...??? Oh, and she's not dehydrated, did the skin test. Will keep an eye on her; can't help but worry a bit.

Quiz tonight!

Re: Glorious Wednesday

Sorry to hear that Leia is not performing as per normal! Could it just be the heat? I have just taken a couple of pictures of Kizzy stretched out of her bed, obviously much too hot to curl up. I'll post later when I've downloaded and uploaded etc. !!!

Yes, Quiz tonight - I have got questions ready!

Re: Glorious Wednesday

Another lovely day here too.

We seem to be getting a few big bills lately. £250 for 2 new tyres for OH's car (they have to order them in for him, big chunky fat ones) Dental estimate for repairing his broken front tooth with porcelain veneer - £900+, haven't dared look at the electricity bill yet! Meanwhile we're trying to fund some major plumbing improvements. Still, as long as the sun shines who cares? At least the heating costs are low!!
