Daily Thread - Saturday

Morning all!

It's a lovely day here....... sunny, clear sky and warm and temperatures are forecast to soar next week...

Not much planned for today, just a few jobs about the house, a couple of hours in the garden........... and then glued to the TV to watch Andy Murray at Wimbledon this afternoon.

Have a good weekend everyone, I hope the sun is shining on you!

Yay!!! I have internet access, so will be able to pop on if I get a free minute.
Good morning to you all.
Just finnished feeding parrots and cleaning up after them. Haven't let Toots out for some flight yet as she is a bit bitey, probably coz i haven't really seen her of handled her for a while.
Gotta go and walk Toby Williams now but when I get back I'll let her out to run riot
Catch you all later xxx

Morning all!

I've got some serious hoovering to do today, doggie has shredded a knotty rope ball all over the downstairs so I'm not too pleased with him. Hubby is out in the garden, deadheading the calendulas and both cats are following him around, no doubt giving him some horticultural advice!

It's going to get hot and then hotter over the next few days, guess who's signed up for a cocker-fest walk in the New Forest tomorrow! I think there will be about 20 of us and it's going to be about 29 degrees! We're going to be weighed down with water bottles!!

Overcast, hot and sticky here. Wish I had your bright sunshine Mags! I like the sound of a cocker-fest in the New Forest MrsH - hope it's not so hot that you will not be able to enjoy yourself. I hope Morgan behaves after his shredding exercises - he must have excellently strong teeth! I am sure that we must be due updated photos on Morgan and your marigold advisory services!!

Glad you have internet connection Elaine - perhaps you won't be as out of touch as you thought?! Hope Toots behaves and that you have a good walk with Toby Williams.

OH and I hopefully (weather and MIL permitting) are going to a friend's house warming later this afternoon. She has had major refurb work finished. I do hope we manage to go as OH needs some distraction as he's been a miserable g** for a couple of days now.

The fish, veg and herb bake last night was OK but next time I think I will simplify it.

Oh - the really good news is that a couple of our runner bean plant have reached the top of their poles already. Plenty of flowers, so hopefully not much longer to wait for the first picking. I love fresh young runner beans.

Re: Daily Thread - Saturday

Hi all. Clammy and overcast here. It feels like it is going to pour but the forecast is dry.

Been out in garden most of the morning. Wrenched my shoulder two weks ago, getting fed up with it now as it's keeping me back. Each time I reach forward I get pins and needles in my arm. That's what I get for trying to hold on to a struggling ewe!

Just had nice ham salad for lunch.

Probably do some long overdue paperwork this pm.

Mags - I'll be cheering Andy Murray on too - hope he copes with all the pressure that has been piled on his shoulders.

Hope Toots doesn't run you ragged Elaine, and good you'll be able to keep in touch.

Hey, MrsH I love the idea of the cats advising on the garden. The image did make me smile.

Everyone that I know who has been to Take That seems to have said it was a brilliant show - glad to hear you enjoyed it too janey83.

Hope you manage to get out for the afternoon angieh. I was just looking at our runner beans this morning and decided they weren't doing as well as I had hoped. Hope yours continue to do well.

Enjoy the rest of the day peeps.

Re: Daily Thread - Saturday

Phew it's humid here. Not very pleasant. Domi had his ballet exam this morning; competent at all activities and a lovely certificate - he really enjoyed it!!!

Had a quick lunch with OH and the boys and then had my nails done. Sort of a muted silver shade which matches my chunky silver jewellery nicely A neighbour (male) was having a pedicure at the same time which was a bit of a giggle as I was ribbing him mercilessly

Boys are nekkid in the garden with their pool, I'm sprinklering the desicated front garden, and we'll be having kind prawn kebabs on the barbecue later tonight with sweetcorn and a beetroot/fennel/goats cheese salad!

Re: Daily Thread - Saturday

Hi, all. Glorious day, sun, 27C and will be even nicer by afternoon. We had a dreadful t'storm at dinner time yesterday, high winds and hailstones! And lost power sometime in the night, had to reset all clocks and reboot the computer. Plus a huge downed tree was blocking part of the bus route this morning on the way to the library, had to detour.

Elaine, glad you have net access! Angie, my borlotti beans are just flowering now. CM, sorry the shoulder is still bothering you. MrsH, hope the walk won't be too hot for you and Morgan. Prawn kebabs Yola...yum!! Mags and other tennis fans, enjoy Wimbledon...I know my friend Carolyn will be glued to her TV also!

Enjoy the day!
