It's too hot. I got up at 5.30am & have done my housework so I feel quite good about that. I'm working today & going to see new puppies born over the weekend & to interview 2 prospective new families who want dogs. Lucy is going back to the chiropractor tonight as her neck pain is creeping back after nearly 6 months pain-free Then a CP comittee meeting this evening. Have a good day.... Is it only me that moans about the heat? |

I love the heat Smudgely - it's the humidity that does me in!! It's warm in the office at the moment but not unbearable - that'll happen this afternoon when the sun comes round to the front of the (glass-walled) building Thankfully I'm off to see Domi (and maybe Sebi if the mmod takes him) do their ballet presentation to parents this afternoon - traditional during the last lesson of the year!! We had our first broad beans last night (with rainbow trout and own roast courgettes ) . . . I was amazed that Dominik tucked in to them as they are quite an adult taste/texture; but they were superb!!! I have lots to get through today so will catch up later - sorry for not posting much but I just can't seem to find the time to stop and think!! |

Hot n'sticky here today. I'm with Yola - love the heat but the humidity is what's nasty. Ah well, I much prefer it to the cold and damp. OH and MIL are really suffering. OH lets everyone know how he hates the weather. He's been a miserable g** for 5 days now .... getting to be near his record. Kizzy is coping well and is a little sweetie as usual (still has her smelly moments though). I am wondering whether because her jaw is little more forward placed than usual, she takes in air whilst eating ..... it's just a thought atm. Have a good day everyone. Do hope the concert goes ahead, Janey but as you say the omens do not look very good. Will you get refunds if it's cancelled? |

Hi peeps! A gorgeous day after yesterday's damp and clouds...blue skies and 24C before lunch. I love the heat and the humidity doesn't bother me, maybe because I was born here and am used to it?? I'll take this over January's cold and snow any day. To the Giant on a Leias's food errand and am just going to relax and spend some time out in the sun in the garden. Angie, that's a very interesting observation about Kizzy and swallowing air! An article I read said that air swallowing can be a cause of flatulence. Once it's in your system it can only come out either by belching or the other end!! And cats don't belch!! Janey, hope all goes well at the concert; Yola hope Sebi will be in the mood ...that must be so cute seeing them. Hope it cools a bit for those who don't like it; regardless, have a nice day!! |

Those heat lovers among you have had a super day today. Me, now, I don't do well in the heat. Fortunately the orientation of our house means that we don't get direct sun shining through the windows in the middle of the day, so with lots of windows open and fans on, it's OK indoors. We had to go to Pets@Home this morning as the furry ones are running out of food. The car ride there was fine (hurrah for air-con!) but I was nearly bowled over by the heat when we got out of the car! It was wonderfully cool in the petstore, I could have stayed there all day! Did you know that it's 42 degrees in my loft? OH got a weather station thing some time ago and he has wireless link temperature sensors in various places! At any time, day or night, he can tell you what temperature it is in the garden, the dining room and the loft! Just thought I'd share that with you! |
