Friday's Thread

The weather's still humid but very overcast and it rained overnight. Hopefully both cloud and humidity will lift shortly!

Busy day today. Off to the hospital shortly as Sebi has an ultrasound scan booked to check out the lump behind his knee. Then dropping him at school as this afternoon is the annual 'do' which is the Speech Day and Garden Party . . . it's always such a nice event when all the children get awards/certificates etc. Will be a tearful one as one of the long-standing teachers is retiring.

Finally, I'm pleased as punch because Dominik got his school report which was excellent and cited a reading age of 8 years and 7 months; he's not quite 5 years 11 months yet!! *is a proud Mummy*

Re: Friday's Thread

Hi there,
Weather here is still humid but does feel cooler than yesterday and it looks like there could be some rain along later.
Nothing much planned for the day here, I am feeling a bit tired today as something unexpected cropped up last night and it meant that I didn`t get to bed last night until 1.00am and then I couldn`t get to sleep as it was so humid and my brain was working over time. Don`t know wether it is the fact I am so tired but I feel abit sicky and abit lightheaded
Yola - Hope that Sebi`s scan goes well and his knee is nothing to worry about. Also have a lovely day at Speechday and Garden Party ,try not to go through to many tissues.

Day off today and yay its cooler... I dont mind it being hot as long as its sunny and not muggy! Its still cloudy here.

Not got anythin planned for today except cleaning!

Have a nice day all.

Hi everyone! Much cooler here today - Kizzy is much happier. We are about to go and pick our raspberries to make our first batch of rasp. vodka.

Well done to Domi - what a very clever young man! Hope Sebi's scan goes OK and that he likes all that gel they put on.

Have a good day everyone - and stay cool.

Some rain would be nice. We had a bit of a shock yesterday,Jenny has had a sore tounge for a while which was put down to biting due to stress. Well being married to me is enough to stress anyone.

But it`s not healing and yesterday the doc fast tracked her for a biopsy.

Re: Friday's Thread

Off to the train station soon, I'm going down to Cambridge for the weekend to meet up with some friends from uni-what with everyone's busy schedules we haven't met up for about 2 years so I can't wait!
Very glad it has rained here and getting a bit cooler, I need to leave Kindly 'home alone' for a few hours before OH finishes work so won't have to worry so much about her now.
Enjoy the weekend peeps!
Lx

Re: Friday's Thread

Hi all! Still cooler than our normal July, only 21C, alternating clouds and sun. Did the usual market run; everything else is closed today (bank, Post Office, etc) for the holiday, which is actually tomorrow. I hope the new Farmers Market will be open tomorrow, want to check it out. All's quiet and peaceful chez moi, no news.

Steph, sorry to hear about Jenny! Hope all will be well, please do let us know. Yola, big Well Done to Domi! And hope all is well with Sebi too. Radiators in July...oh my!! PP, hope you get to see the game in its entirety, and PL enjoy the reunion! Angie, good luck with the vodka making; did you get the spyritus (sp?)...sounds as if it really packs a wallop!
