An overcast start to the day here today, but a welcome freshness in the air. I'm on standby for work in case there's a home birth coming off, so will carry on with a bit of ironing. Have got Tom staying the w/e with us and he isn't feeling too grand. Maybe the Kentucky Fried he had last night, as his treat, has backfired on him

My furbabes are fast asleep, Posh has found a lovely sized cardboard box and fallen in love with it... peace be still!

Much fresher last night so I slept really well. It's a rather cloudy morning so far but bright and likely to be a good day.

Molly's out in the back garden and almost caught herself a starling but it was much too clever and quick!

OH had headed off to see his Mum on the south coast - and at some point during the day will also be dropping off my Mum's exercise bike to our Angie!!
I in the meantime have been to the vet with Balie and am shortly going to head of to a birthday party with Sebi (and Domi'll be coming along for a freebie )

Need to pop into town later to pick up some more contact lenses and then once OH is back I will take some me-time and go to the gym!!

It's here Yola - your OH kindly dropped off the exercise bike about 30 mins or so ago! Thanks a million - I've already had a go on it.

Making some more gooseberry jam today - more or less stripped our one bush and we estimate that we must have had at least 12 lbs off it this year. Definitely a bumper crop.

Well done Emma - your lucky star is shining on you at the moment.

Kizzy is now a two-mouse-a-night girl! Both bought in and played with in our bedroom - one while it was still just dark and the other around 7.00 this morning. She has also had a baby vole and another wee creature outside this morning. I rescued 2 whilst still alive, for how much longer I can't tell. She is so pleased with herself - announced her triumph with chirrups and miaows (the 7 o'clock one!).

Much cooler here. MIL has perked up - I was worried about her yesterday, her colour was not good and she couldn't settle. She is cheerful today and has helped with topping and tailing the goosegogs.

Been to work and now have not got anythin planned for today other than chilling... was at an 18th bday party last night... Im starting to feel old, only feels like 2 years ago I was 18!!!

'Allo, everyone!
Well it is the fourth but to be honest I'm not too fond of this holiday because of the fireworks people set off in the neighborhood.
Where I live they start a week before and continue a week after so that's two weeks of the furchildren thinking the apocalypse has come

Must get to it today. Had a leisurely day yesterday of strawberries, online retail therapy,and wine and now I am up and there is this dirty house to attend to. I shall be good today
K is on day two of back to work (no he doesn't get to holiday for the fourth). He is bored stiff doing security but they told him if they catch him doing any strenuous maintenance work they will fire him, LOL. So that should be incentive for him to finally take it easy

For some reason, Independence Day is usually lovely, and it is today: sun, cloudless skies, 23C. Fortunately fireworks aren't as bad in my neighborhood as in Tink's, so no problems there, just the few firecrackers ....and Leia doesn't mind them anyway. Finally
got to go to the new Farmers Market this morning...nice! Will post some pics later.

Lol @ Janey ...wait till you get really old! Angie, hope you like the exercise bike and use it more than I do mine! Leia sends congratulations to Kizzy on her hunting skills. Yola, hope the b'day party is fun; PP, any chance of a pic of your cat-in-the-shoebox? Emma: whoop-dee-doo on your big win!

happy 4th to u all
been out to the london pride. (gays n lesbian big party in london) no im not but my daughter is,so we spent a whiloe with her. then popped into camden market for a wander around. took some pics. had a couple of drinks.
so now im very tired got extreamly sore feet. and ache all over.
but was a really good day.
just got a call from my daughter shes a bit drunk and found a way to keep cool. she got in the fountains at trafalger square lol.
some-ones going to have a sore head in the morning.
