Re: Fridays Daily (again lol)

had to read back thru the threads to see why its Friday's daily again! Yola, you have my sympathies

It's Tom's school sports day today too, so @ 1pm I'm off to cheer him on, can't stay too long tho coz Bronnie has a vet appointment.

Weather cooler today, still dry tho so did a bit of weeding out the front while keeping a close eye on Posh who was grass eating. Othe cats in the close have begun to get her attention, and for a pampered house cat she thinks she's a lioness! Chased a tabby right down the street the other day til Ceri caught up with her and picked her up and brought her back. Got scratched for his trouble too, bad girl. Lots of vocalising for the rest of the day... wailing like a police car siren Kids!

Re: Fridays Daily (again lol)

Hair cut day today-not that I have that much left(you should have seen me in the early 70`s he mumbles).

We also got the date for Jenny`s (my wife) CAT scan-hey!! we can go away this Sunday afterall-just come home a day early.

For those who have no idea what I`m going on about there is a strong suspicion Jenny has tounge cancer.

And I am posting here my gratitude to Angie-some of us do the quiz on Wednesday----------one question was about what CAT stands for and she pmed me-before posting to ask if I would prefer her not to ask.

I said it was fine -but these little moments of thought are much appreciated

Re: Fridays Daily (again lol)

All good wishes for Jenny's scan Stephan ... big fat negative would be terrific.

Janey - how's your breathing/allergy thing now?

PP - ooh, fierce!

Dull-ish, coolish here too, but perfectly OK. Not so good for being on a beach though. Farmers' market today, so we've done that, done some moderately complicated banking things and then enerally chilled. Mr DM is away for the rest of the weekend now, so I have those 15lbs of gooseberries to top and tail and get frozen and other garden/growing type delights to keep me out of mischief.

Re: Fridays Daily (again lol)

Hi everyone! Steph, I am really hoping that Jen is OK and glad that you are both getting to go away. No need to thank me, a bit of thought about others' possible feelings is something I think we all do fairly well with on this Forum.

OH and I have made yet another lot of jam this morning. We have a little wild plum tree that was put in some years ago when we had to have all our elm trees taken out. It is absolutely laden this year - the branches are all quite high up and so the birds generally get most of them. They are a bit like a gauge - not exactly sure of what they are. They are about the size of a large cherry but have a golden skin and plum shaped stones. Quite tart in taste.

I keep having to look at the picture I posted yesterday of the little g&w kitten that will be coming to live chez nous. Today I have thought of the name "Ruskin". It'll take a while to be sure - Kizzy was so easy in comparison and the name suits her to a "T".

Have a good day everyone ............ don't forget Torchwood at 9.00!!!

Re: Fridays Daily (again lol)

I hope Jenny's OK Stephan . . . not a nice worry to have hanging over you both.

Here is is overcast but warm. We have:
Ridden Sebi's new (well, inherited) bike around the car park next door
Been to the allotment and collected lots of beetroot, courgettes, french and board beans
Collected Domi from school and visited his end-of-term assembly
Went for lunch at pizza express
Went to pictures to see Ice Age 3 . . .was OK (not really my thing) but the 3D effects were good
Now I have some beetroots to roast and some small boys to play with

Re: Fridays Daily (again lol)

Hi, all! None of the posts showed up when I finally was able to log on, so thanks to Janey I located this...I figured she'd have posted in it and found it that way. Wonder what else I've missed? Anyhow, nothing new here, did the marketing, had withdrawal pains at no Catsey this morning Still coolish here, 14th day in a row of below normal temps (24), but sunny.

Steph, you and Jen are in my thoughts; glad the weekend wasn't spoiled. All that fruit you industrious ladies are putting up! Reminds me of Summers at Grandma's house helping make jam! PP, gibe your fierce little girl a tummy tickle from me!

Hope what's left of thge day will be nice!

CS, you may know this already....in User Control you can bring up the missing posts by using the All Subscribed Threads on the right of the screen. That's where I located most of them. Doesn't work for All Posts Including Chat and Games though. I think the best way to find them is pick someone on the Members list who's an active poster and check what she's posted today .... worked for me.
