Friday Daily

Morning all.

Its a dull cloudy day here today.

My day off so gotta clean the house etc.

Has anyone got a Wii? Im thinking of getting one. I had a go on my cousins on boxing day last year, it was soooo much fun. My friend has just bought one so gonna have a go on that tomorrow.

Have a nice day all.

Re: Friday Daily

We bought a Wii Fit earlier this week but haven't set it up yet. I am looking forward to boxing with my husband! I think there is a thread in Health?

The usual murky morning here, with no end in sight to this miserable spell of weather. Something to do with the position of the jet sytream, again.

No cat wars this morning, I'm glad to say.

Re: Friday Daily

Just back from a pretty pointless follow up appointment with Sebi at the hospital. He has baker's cyst behind his knee (fluid from the knee joint collecting in a membrane and causing a lump). He had an ultrasound on it 2 weeks ago and this appointment was essentially to say that they'll probably do nothing but an appointment with the surgeon will be made just in case!

Car is also in for a service. It's almost 2 years since I got it and this is the first service it's needed to go in for (at 18,000 miles) - not bad!!

Boys are currently messing with play doh so hopefully that'll keen them amused for a while as although dry, it's not really outdoor weather.

Re: Friday Daily

Wet and soggy here too. I've had the morning off for my birthday, had a lovely breakfast with OH, mum and little sister with lots of lovely presents! Lots of garden vouchers and a pink chicken ornament.
Hoping for a quiet afternoon at work then out to see Harry Potter this evening.
Have a lovely day everyone.
Lxx

Re: Friday Daily

Another wet and gloomy day here, what happened to the heatwave forecast for this year?

My daughter's brother-in-law and sister-in-law have both been diagnosed with swine flu, Sue and her family had a barbecue with them last Saturday so they are naturally concerned about catching it themselves. They have told us they won't visit for a while just in case they pass anything on to us. . . There's also an outbreak at Jamie's school so there's always the chance he will catch it too..

Enjoy your day, stay dry

Re: Friday Daily

Hi everyone. Double grot here today I'm afraid. I'm off back to bed in a bit - just had to catch up with Catsey happenings! Very glad I did so, otherwise I would have missed that it is pinklizzy's birthday today. Glad you've had a nice morning Liz - Happy Birthday from me and Kizzy. Hope you enjoy Harry Potter - let us know what you think of it please!

We have Wii Sport and Fit - OH bought it for me as an early birthday treat and to help with my fitness and losing weight. He is using it more than I am, but it is good fun and very clever. I should think that it could be hilarious when using with friends! Unfortunately, by pure chance I KO'd my opponent in the first round of my first boxing match and don't want to ruin a great reputation! I am finding some of the balance exercises very tricky.

Weather here has been very mixed. And a friend has just started a week's holiday sailing Devon way!!! She's a seasoned sailor, but even so ...... glad I am on relatively dry land. Torrential rain, thunder and lightning late yesterday afternoon - I went out with a big umbrella to call Kizzy in and got very wet. She turned up, just a bit damp whilst I was outside calling for her. She was quite undisturbed by the thunder and lightning. She's almost bomb proof that cat!

Have a good day all. I'll pop in later if I'm feeling OK. Try and keep dry folks!

Re: Friday Daily

Hope you'll feel better soon Angie - and hope you and yours steer clear of the flu Mags..... although part of me says that if we're all destined to get it, sooner might be better than later. I've just purchesed 4 packets of paracetamol, just in case. You can only buy 2 x 16 at any one time and if you're really poorly the daily dose is 4 x 2 = 8. So, one packet = one days supply for 2 people - that's not enough! The last thing you would want is having to drag yourself out to buy more whilst in the throes, or going next door and risking infecting them I suppose it could be done by text and letterbox, with financial settlement later but .....
Sorry, rambling again! However - it's worth a bit of pre-planning.
Yola - my MIL had a Baker's cyst. It was a real pain for her. It never resolved but she is much happier with a replacement knee joint (for wear and tear, not the cyst). Not much help for you I'm afraid; I hope the lad's clears up by itself asap.

Afternoon all. As we suspected Jenny does have tounge cancer.

The better news is that the CT scan showed no other sites,we go for an MRI scan next Wednesday.

The prognosis so far is that it is treatable, more than likely completely curable and not deemed to be life threatening
