Monday thread - another week starts!

Doesn't time fly - already it seems that the days are getting shorter and the nights cooler. I do hope our alleged summer isn't over but there's no end in sight to the mixed weather. However it is a bright and cheerful morning, so Dinah and I are just out for a walk to enjoy it.
Apologies for absence yesterday - we met up with my mum and my sister & bil for a lunch to mark mums recent birthday.
Back later!

It's a mixed morning here too DM. I've washed and put clothes on the airer in the washroom as I'm scared the rain will just pour down soon, it's warm enough there for them to dry but it's not the same as drying outside in a breeze is it? and I would rather not use the tumble in the summer, the bills are horrendous enough as it is.

I 've 2 days off now, hoping to go and see the new Harry Potter film this afternoon, if I can drag Ceri away from the aviary. Til then, the kitchen needs a sort out and I'm surfing around sorting out car and house insurance.

see ya later, . Nette x

Hi all - yes, there's a very autumnal nip in the air, most worrying Still, it's quite bright and there are no ominous rain clouds so that has to be good.

Another day at the office so absolutely nothing to report of interest!! Have a good day whatever you are up to!

Re: Monday thread - another week starts!

hi all reporting from the bedside of k in the hospital on the lovely laptop his stepdad rented him.
it's two thirty am and i can't sleep. prob cuz they called a code blue not to long ago in the room down the hall and the body was wheeled passed our door after the person died. not a great bedtime story, is it?
rumors are going around there is a possibility he can get out today..trying not to get my hopes up too high. i really can't wait for normalcy in some respect.
hope you all have a good one.
my day will range between bringing my man home and celebrating to running errands all by my lonely and doing the whole hospital/animals/hospital/animals routine.
no idea at this hour which way it'll go. i'm sure i'll get to find out after i've just drifted off...lol.

The thought of resuming some kind of normality must be wondeful, Tink. I hope K is able to go home very soon, but make sure he takes it REALLY easy to give his body a chance to start healing itself properly.

I guess it's the routine of the chores and the need to run errands, tend to the pets etc that maintains your sanity at a time like this.

I don't know how you do it!

Re: Monday thread - another week starts!

Afternoon all.

Ooh eee ouch... Im in pain coz of the Wii! Both the backs of my arms, shoulders and down both sides to my hips are aching like mad. So I guess ive not used those muscles for a bit lol. Oh well im addicted to the wii now gonna have a go with my mum in a min... (My parents are terrible at it lol, its so funny to watch them though!)

Ive been on my feet since 5am this morn, only sat down to drive to my other job for 10 mins.

Mixed weather here, chuckin it down one min n the next t sunny.

TIDDLES HAS COME BACK HOME... 3.30am this morning. I think someone had taken him and when they received the posters of Mackerel and Tiddles they let him go again.
Still no sign at all of Mackerel though

_______

Oh p.s. I was nearly in a head on collision today as well, I was on a slim 30 mile an hour road, I'd just drove round the bend, next thing I saw was a silver car overtaking and as he pulled back in I could see the car was slightly drifting sideways he must of been going about 70 if not faster!!! So I flashed my lights at him and he beeped his horn as he went past... I'd of sworn at him but my mum was in the car so I didn't lol, I didn't half have the shakes after that.
Then as we got to the top of that road its a T-junction and a blue car was driving along and at the side of me a silver car pulled out and caught the back of the blue car n smash!!! tyre had gone on the blue car n everythin.

That was my first car crash I had seen in 7 and a half years of driving. I Was a bag of nerves after all that lol.

So ive had an exciting day lol.

Oh wow, Janey scary! Glad you're OK. Tink, good news that they're even thinking of letting K go home; he must be improving to their satisfaction. I do hope it's today, and agree he must not overdo!! This has been such an ordeal for you both. PP, enjoy the new Harry Potter.

Wind's from the East, so grey, cloudy, 23C and damp with a good chance of showers thru mid-week; we really do need rain, down 2" for the month. I have to water almost every day. Had a lie in this morning, just pottering around, so no news as usual. Cabbage, bacon, mushroom and onion stir fry tonight!

Hope it's a good day for all.
