Emotional Sunday Thread

Well it's pretty miserable weather here today. Erin arrives in Aberdeen very soon, so cannt stop long. Poor girl is very emotional after saying goodbyes to her family over the last few days, so understandably it's gonna be a mixed bag of emotions for her over the next wee while. She will be delighted to see Jerry but sad that she has left her friends and family behind.
Emma has made up her room all pretty for her arrival. She has been travelling all night so we will leave her for the afternoon to sleep and get aquanted with her new living arrangements.
Then this evening we have planned a small welcome party for her.
Have a great day every one

It is a pretty horrible morning here, isn't it. I hate it when it is so grey and dark.
I hope Erin soon settles in and enjoys Aberdeen, although I grumble, I quite like it really.

It looks like my day will be spent cleaning out rabbit hutches and runs, and the chicken houses, but the main part of today will be spent nursing poorly beasties.

Re: Emotional Sunday Thread

Morning!

It's a dreary morning here with a solid covering of cloud, the odd spot of rain in the air. The washing has been out on the line for a couple of hours so hopefully it'll dry before the heavens open.

I sowed another tray of grass seed for Cassie a couple of days ago and it's good to see it beginning to shoot already. She does like her daily grass!

Sending hugs to Erin when she arrives in Aberdeen at the start of her new life ((((hugs)))) it's a big step to take and she must be full of emotions. It's good to know she has Elaine and Emma to settle her in and help her adjust .......well done to you girls!

Have a lovely day folks!

Erin has arrived, safe and sound, she looks shattered, bless her. Have left her to get settled and have a sleep. Jerry is sulking with her but he did perk up when he heard her voice and they had cuddles. Caspurr was very excited about it all and gave us a mad display of running and jumping at nothing .

Re: Emotional Sunday Thread

Morning everyone, oops, afternoon Had a long lie in today.
Welcome to the Celtic clans Erin I'm sure you'll settle in beautifully. I love the way Caspur gave you his welcome, hahaha, and Jerry will come round soon.

It's really horrible day here, weatherwise, it's rain +++, so I'm making the most of the day by doing something I'd promised myself to do for months. Putting all my San Diego pics and memorabilia in an album. I like to keep mementos, restaurant menus , tickets etc and make up a file of the holiday. It will esp. nice for Tom to look back on, in case he forgets in time.

See you later. Nette, x

Wet and miserable here too, I'm having an extremely lazy day today after my horrid week.
I started my latest knitting project yesterday, a jumper for my mum, so I'm planning to curl up on the sofa and knit, joined by Imogen and Kindly.
Keeping my fingera and toes firmly crossed for Imogen's brother who I found out yesterday, didn't come home on Friday night Hoping he turns up very soon.

Huge GOOD LUCK wishes to Erin at the start of a new part of her life in Aberdeen.

Not raining here yet - lots of black clouds and wind though, so I suppose it won't be long. Sad, because we had hoped to have a barbecue today, but looks like chicken curry instead!

Fingers crossed that Imogen's brother comes home very soon Liz. What's his name???
