Welcome to cat ownership! My 4 have kept me up MANY a night playing and attention seeking. And putting them out the bedroom doesn't work cause, they cry and scratch to get back in. In the twenty some years I have owned my cats, I have NEVER came up with a solution. Playing with them and tiring them out, just before bedtime can help.. My cats are indoor cats, but I guess this is one of the reasons people allow their cats outdoor access, so they can kick them outside when cat keeps them awake |

My boys got o bed, when I go to bed, they get their supper and are shut in the utilityroom for the night, have done it since they were kittens and they are used to the routine...Leo my older boy sleeps in the kitchen.......... No way did I want 5 cats running around all night! |

I never found a real solution, but a good tiring romp before bedtime and then a "midnight snack" used to keep them quiet long enough for me to fall asleep (sound sleeper) Nothing helped with the early morning time-to-get-up-and-play scenario. I'm very lucky with Leia ... she's a lazy puss and is quite happy to sleep in bed with me quietly till breakfast time! |

I was too soft when they were kittens, allowing them to sleep with me. Start as you mean to go on, as they say lol |
