Re: Thursday thread

Hi PP, Hi all!

Yes, sunshine and showers this morning, after torrential rain and howling winds last night. Autumn definitely here. OH has gone off to play golf in a long sleeved top, so there's confirmation. Sort of sorted my woolly socks but there's a place you can order Mohair goat socks, lovely colours, I am SO tempted. A pedigree Angora herd in the Black Mountains .... goats are just so lovely I'd like to support by buying. Then on to woolly jumpers ...... looking at Kizzy's amazing thick coat, I think we're in for a hard winter. Weighed her this morning btw ...... not sure I should say on an open forum how much she weighs - she may get embarrassed!

Have a good day all, try to stay dry!

Very windy here . . . no rain as yet but I don't think it's far off. Took the boys into town for a hair trim this morning and bought Dominik a new blazer, bit of an expense seeing as he's only at this school for one more year, but his old one now fits his little brother and frankly looked daft on him.

Sebi's 3rd birthday tomorrow so pressies are packed and cake is in the fridge . . . I think we'll be having chocolate cake for breakfast if the boys have anything to do with it

Re: Thursday thread

Hi all! It's nice to be back.
Blustery here - and quite nippy this morning - but at least the heavy constant rain and high winds of yesterday have gone.
Took mum home this morning and, although it was nice having her, it's also nice to be back to *cough* normal. Have now started really looking forward to heading off to The Loire Saturday week.

Re: Thursday thread

Hi everyone,
its very VERY windy here - had a fine morning plenty of sunshine and very autumnal but the heavy showers began a bit back and keep threatening! Gosh, Autumn s come in with a blast this year.

Finished work for the day about an hour ago, nice and early for a change. So, catching up on my catsey and attempting to tidy up. Glad to be staying in tonight with how wild it is out there! I expect we will have a heatwave next week knowing this country! Jan x

Re: Thursday thread

Autumnal here too; sunny but still below normal. As of now nice and slightly warmer weather is predicted for the long holiday weekend (Labor Day) inland, but will rain at the beaches; a shame for those going for the last weekend of Summer. No news here, slept in and had to replant a few irises that the squirrel had dug up... newly planted ones, and it hasn't done them much good.

Hope Kizzy's coat thickness isn't a harbinger of Winter weather. DM, didn't realize you were heading off again! Yola, it doesn't seem possible Sebi will be 3; where does the time go?

Hope it's a happy day for all.

Re: Thursday thread

Sun, heavy showers and strong winds today

I've been looking after my grandchildren all day while my daughter and SIL went to my neighbour's son's funeral ......... they almost grew up together as kids and although he was 8 years older than her, he was always very protective towards her.
There was a turn out of almost 300 at the church, he was so popular....such a sad loss

Hope everyone has had a good day....

Re: Thursday thread

Evening all

Been very windy and rainy here all day, Dylan's refused point blank to go outside. At all. He's decided that he's suffering from lack of chicken so he's been scoffing chicken all day. Having to keep telling him NO MORE because he's developing a curly tail If we're not careful he may become overweight I think judging by the amount he's been eating today (simply because he's greedy!)

I may be entering Dylan in to a Cats Protection cat show, looking into it - be phoning up in a few minutes.

Not really got any more news here (apart from Dylan's going to the vets tomorrow evening to have his claws done)
