My other daughter is under the weather so is off school. They want to bake cakes tonight so have too do that. Its realy dull here so i dont think i can hang any washing out. I have to go and see the cat i am sitting for in a bit. I was only asked last night too look after him will be doing it for a week love it realy. Hope all of you have a nice day

Re: Friday's Daily

Morning Jane. Sorry to hear your daughter is not well - hope she enjoys the cake making - a nice cheerful thing to do!

It's really dull here too. Not much of a breeze to blow the clouds away either - we have lights on.

I have loads of work to do today, but will visit around lunchtime and then this evening. Must get it done as the person I am doing it for is back from holiday on Monday ..... onwards and upwards as they say!

I ordered a tunnel for Kizzy and Pip and it arrived today. They have both already been through it, but don't seem overly ready to play with it ..... so glad it was a good offer from Pet Planet. Will try and get some photos later - maybe it's just too new.

Have a great day everyone.

Re: Friday's Daily

From a promising start it's now clouded over here too. Have been getting a few bits of uniform as Sebi will be moving up to nursery as of Monday and will need much of the regular school unform for this as opposed to the pre-nursery track suit they wore.

About to head off to the allotment to dig up my potatoes as the hessian sacks have arrived. Then to collect Domi from school and take the boys to a newly-refurbished playground just around the corner from home. It used to be a real junkie-haven but they've revamped it beautifully and they're very keen to check it out

Re: Friday's Daily

Hi everyone,

A slow day here, I seemed to be suffering a serious lack of zip! No reason really but had a long day yesterday travelling and think I'm still trying to catch up.

How did the playground trip go Yola? glad its now a safer area for the kiddies. Hope your little one gets better soon Jane. My 18 yr old niece is in hospitall undergoing investigations for severe abdo pain, no idea yet what's wrong, poor kid, hope she get a result soon.

Guess the play tunnel will be a hit once they realise what its all about;I think Pip will be the 1st to venture into it

Have a goodday all

Hi all, cloudy still and still below normal, 19 degrees, but supposedly the sun will reappear this afternoon, about time! To the bank, and market for salad greens. Oh. just as I typed this the sun came out, woo hoo!

Jane, pics of your cat sitting cat, you know how we love pics! Sorry your daughter is poorly. Yola, that's cool about the playground, better use for the space indeed! Do you expect a good harvest of potatoes? Angie, hope the tunnel gets some use soon. PP, hope your niece is diagnosed and better soon.

Tge weekend cometh!

Re: Friday's Daily

Well, turned out we went up just at the right time!!! It was an opening ceremony for the refurbed park!!! They had the local football team's mascot there and the place was overrun with kids - it was brilliant Loads of the children from Domi/Sebi's school were there, despite the fact that it's not that close to the school . . . I guess more parents than I realised live close by

Re: Friday's Daily

Evening all

Been abandoned for the evening, so home alone - yippee!!

Not much to report on today. Hoping the weather stays dry for the weekend. Feel like doing something nice tomorrow, but no imagination - how bad is that?

Can't believe how dark it is a nights now.

Did the cakes turn out well kado?

The playground opening sounds a real success yola, glad the boys enjoyed it.

That's typical angieh - buy a new toy and they decide not to make a big fuss.

What you having for dinner DM - your meals always sound so good.

Re: Friday's Daily

'Allo, all!
Pretty outside today.
I'm off to get my annual and see if my cervical dysplasia is gone or has come back (my mom had to get a hysterectomy because hers kept advancing) *fingers crossed*
I got a little something for myself (it was only eight dollars with shipping but cute). It should be arriving today. I'll take pics later on. It's for my car. Any guesses? LOL...
K's father has recently contacted him. K is 38 years old and they have been communicating but his father left thirty years ago without a word till now. I wonder if it's too little too late.
I hope you all have a great day, I'm just gearing up to go out. Hopefully it will be a nice drive as almost all the major highways here are under construction at the same time. I don't know why they must do that all at once, grrr.
Lots of Love,
Tink

Something for the car Tink? I a little cat ornament to hang off your rear-view mirror???

Hopefully K and his Dad can build bridges . . . even if family ties are not resumed some kind of friendship/relationship between them might be nice.
