Grey dank Tuesday

Morning all! Work has been a bit hectic again so my online life has been mostly offline
Took Bronnie to the vet this am for a check up her athritis is getting much worse and sh'es on an assortment of painkillers;metacam, tramadol and a new drug gabapentin, poor old soul, she doesn't whimper, she's marvellous really.

Trying out the laptop in wireless in the living roomand it wors well. Very little battery time tho and these infernal keys are sticking or missing something awful. will have to see a PC doc soon.

See you later,

Re: Grey dank Tuesday

Miserable, gloomy, dank day here and to cap it all hubby's in a grump! I have no idea why, just everything I say seems to produce a snappy reply, every request gets me a "in a minute"or "yes!, all right!!" (delivered with exasperation and emphasis) Thank goodness he's now gone out to his art group.
Going to have peace for a couple of hours now!

Re: Grey dank Tuesday

It's grey, very wet and overcast here too. Dental hygenist went well and she confirmed my wisdom tooth site is 'still sore but not infected' which is brilliant news. more rinsing with salt water but no more antibiotics.

Am currently placing job ads for some new project managers as we have had one resignation (a great relief to everyone) and we need a further one due to the New Look account win.

I have had to swallow hard and agree to a Volvo 4X4 to replace my beloved Q7 which has reached the end of its agreement and goes back next week. A replacement would have been out of the question as they have doubled in price; the Volvo is about on par cost-wise. It absolutely doesn't fill me with any anticipation at all as I don't like them very much Still, it's a car with space and I guess that's what counts.

Re: Grey dank Tuesday

Hi all - yes damp and dark and gloomy here too. Lights on indoors. I've just been outside though because the zumaks are singing! Unfortunately, and I have no idea why, the photos don't do them justice.

Pip will not get his walk again today - he probably wouldn't mind getting his paws wet, but I would!

I am off to the hospital for my second Food for Thought review. I don't think I've lost much more weight, but OH seems to think I have - I hope he's right! I'll let you know later on when I get back.

Sorry to hear about Bronnie, PP - it's so sad isn't it. Poor love, hugs from me. Also sorry to hear about your OH, MrsH - I am sure it's a male thing, my OH gets just like that every so often. If you ask what's wrong, it's "nothing".

Congratulations on the New Look account Yola - how many employees do you have? Sounds like onwards and upwards for your firm.

Must buzz off now as I really need to start looking for Catsey quiz qs for tomorrow! See you all later. Keep dry!

Re: Grey dank Tuesday

Hi all. It was sunny but chilly (15) earlier, but has clouded over now. Been to the market and have my annual eye doctor appointment at 1 pm today. Should be home by 4 and will be on as soon as my eye dilation wears off so I can see! I do hate that!
Leia seems a bit mopy this morning but is eating and toileting OK ...??

Pity about the car, Yola; good luck in finding the right new employee. MrsH, sorry the grumps have hit OH! PP, poor old Bronnie, hope the meds help. Angie, let u know if OH was right about the weight loss!

Enjoy the day!

Re: Grey dank Tuesday

I'm back! Made good time, both buses in schedule, Eyes are fine, no problems, don't need a new prescription. Having trouble reading the screen, still have dilated pupils,

I don't think Leia even missed me; she was asleep in her chair when I left and and asleep in her chair when I got home. ..could have been dancing the fandango while I was gone for all I know!!

Re: Grey dank Tuesday

I've been working today, Dylan's been in and out the whole afternoon - insisting he wants to be outside to see his girlfriends then saying "It's too wet Mum! I want to be in again!"

I was planning on going to the rescue again today to help out but we had the thunderstorm from h*ll

Going to have my eyes tested tomorrow

There's 8 of us including OH and I. David our sales chap seems to be out of danger after his brain tumour (non agressive) operation so when he's back and with a new PM and a replacement one for the french one who's leaving we will be up to 9. Mixed blessing - being an employer is not all it's cracked up to be - you can't do anything right despite having best intentions

Re: Grey dank Tuesday

I am glad that your eyes are OK Eileen - that stuff stings too I believe? MIL and OH have both had it, but I haven't had to yet thanks very much. Hope your test goes well, RCR.

I've never been a "proper" employer Yola - I can well imagine that no one gets it right for everyone. I once worked for a small firm and swore never to do it again - no disrespect meant to you or your company. From an employee's pov, I found it better to work for larger "impersonal" firms. Of course now I employ myself - so I have to give myself tellings off or pats on the back!!!

Btw - I lost another kilo! Not a lot, but it's going in the right direction. Not far off a stone now. Sorry, mixing metric and imperial there ...............

Re: Grey dank Tuesday

Angie, congrats on losing...whatever! Neither stone or kilo is meaningful to me ...we Yankees who won't use metric! ... but glad to hear it's down, not up! Observant OH!
