Sunny Saturday

.....it is here anyway, hope it's good with you too..

I need to clear a lot of soggy leaves from the garden, it's surprising how many have fallen since the drop in temperature. I removed the last of the geraniums yesterday and the garden is slowly getting into winter mode. Next week I'll hunt for the fleece jacket for the acer, must get it wrapped and protected before the frosts arrive.

Have a good day all!

Re: Sunny Saturday

Afternoon Mags! Yes, lovely and sunny here too today - blue sky and a few little fluffy white clouds. Warm out - no coat needed today. We have all been for our flu jabs this morning and Pip and I have been for a walk around the back garden - Kizzy decided not to join us today and it was amazing how much less confidence Pip had - he did not want to walk very far and although he enjoyed chewing grass stalks and getting his paws wet on the lawn, he did not walk purposefully like he does when his big sis is with us - they must have a bond, mustn't they, or am I reading too much into it?

My filing cabinet which I expected next week actually arrived yesterday so I have already moved paperwork over and I have so much room (atm! there's a law about stuff filling up available space I think). My office does look a lot tidier.

Hope everyone has a good weekend - enjoy the sunshine.

Re: Sunny Saturday

Hello Mags, Angie and all.
Turned out better than expected today went for a shopping trip and bought new shoes which is always a good pick-me-up! I have the house to myself (almost, except for furkids) later and tonight as OH is off to his college reunion party and a stopover. Fine by me,I can put my feet up,watch Strictly and Xfactor without the puffing and grumbling from the other end of the sofa! and get to eat a WHOLE galaxy by myself...

I should be out leaf lifting but the hoovering is a must and there's still ironing to do...women's work, hey
HAVE A GREAT W/E

Re: Sunny Saturday

I had my hair recoloured this morning and am feeling much better for it. It's quite bright blonde again which I love. Back home via the market where I bought some veggies to go with our tuna steaks tomorrow.

Then, exercise tape, a quick, late lunch of falafel (yum) and salad and now down to the ironing. OH has taken the boys to see his Mum on Hayling Island. She's not too good as the skin cancer on her leg keeps coming back and she's going to have to endure more ops - poor love. He's a bit worried about her, I think he's going to take her to hospital and be with her when she goes in for the treatment.

When they return we'll wonder up to the park where the steam fair is stopping. They'll have fireworks later this evening so after some goes on the amusements we'll be over to the Harvester in the park for dinner and then back down in time for the display (hopefully)!

Re: Sunny Saturday

Hi people. After yesterdays brilliant sun and 29 degrees (barefoot! Porch open all day!) we're back to Autumn, rain overnight, drizzle to and from the library and only 17. Sigh. Arthritis is much much better today; have ordered some glucosamine gel that Angie told me about, and also rose hips that DM says is good for it. Fingers crossed. No news otherwise, except that I got a free sample in the post of the New Fancy Feast Appetizers (chicken) which HRH likes! It is only 2 oz, and $1.25!! I do not think we will have that frequently!

Mags, don't you overwinter your geraniums? Yola, sorry to hear about your MIL, hope all goes well with her op. The steam fair sounds like great fun for the boys. Angie, Pip's still a little fellow and probably feels more confident with big sis with him; that's a cute story.

Hope it's a great weekend!

Re: Sunny Saturday

Had a great day today, my son did a skydive raising, funds for DAWG (Dog Action Welfare Group) where we got Poppy our greyhound from. After a very foggy drive to Lincolnshire, the day turned out to be blue skies and sunshine. Adam said the dive was amazing and it was fantastic to watch too! Afterwards we went to Pizza Hut.
