It's a horrid wet day here - raining too and very gloomy. OH is off playing golf - I always wondered if he was quite right in the head - winter beach fishing in the cold and wet and now golfing in similar conditions. Me, I prefer dry warm weather for doing anything really - shall stay indoors in the warm today and find something to do! Welly boots, waterproofs and umbrellas needed here today - Pip won't be getting his walk either! |

Not a particularly great start to today although I slept like a log last night. OH isn't feeling too well and boy does he let me know! Apparently he was too cold then too hot during the night, then his tummy felt uncomfortable, so he got up a couple of times during the night. Now he's got a headache and is grumpy to talk to. He's talking about not going to his art group this afternoon because he might not feel better by then. He's shuffling about and I just know he's going to be a real pain all day! I really enjoy it when he goes out as it gives me a bit of space and me time, being retired sometimes makes it difficult to escape from each other if you see what I mean. Ho hum, we'll just have to see how things pan out! |

Hi people. Still unseasonably mild here, 16 (61 F) here, but clouded over. To the market; did a double shop as it may rain tomorrow and I'm worse than the cats about going out in the rain, hate it. We may get the remains of what was Hurricane Ida tomorrow ...or maybe not; weather people are dithering. All's peace and quiet here. Men! Angie's OH and weather, MrsH's grumpy one! Sorry Pip will miss his walk; Sultan was always most annoyed when he was rained out! Stay dry, have a good day! |

Silly me! I shampooed the dining-room carpet this morning and had just finished when I noticed I hadn't turned the knob which controls the shampoo intake on the Bissell machine! I'd only gone and done the whole room with plain water! Grrrrr! so I had to do it all over again making sure the shampoo knob was properly set this time (and I was wondering why the waste water was quite clean !) Hope Hurricane Ida doesn't bother you DM, Kazz I don't know how you cope with doing "nights", how long before you're back on "days" ? |
