Relentlessly attacked

I am currently house sitting and looking after a very sweet, old ginger lady cat, atleast she was very sweet and cuddly until last night.......
We were lying in bed having a cuddle when she bit me, didnt think too much about that as it happens from time to time but then the full on attack happened, she was clinging to my arm and biting me for all she was worth.
Eventually had to scruff her and pull her off my arm, as I did so, she then flew at my face, I quickly pulled the duvet over me until she got bored and left the room
She was my best mate again this morning, have no idea where that came from or why.

How scary and very odd - mind, Merlin was a bit like that - he'd be cuddly and purring one minute and then attack cat, but I knew he was "disturbed" and never took his gentle moments for granted.

Could you have inadvertently touched a sore spot, Elaine?

I was scared for my life but was laughing my head off at the thought of myself being trapped under a duvet while being attacked by a small ginger cat
