Is it Thursday already? Daily Thread

Where does the week go?

It's now grey and feels quite chilly, although the local temperature (as per Windows XP) is 12. The wind is getting up and I am sure that it won't stay dry for long. OH has already lit the stove. Pip is being a terrorist today and persecuting poor Kizzy, who has gone out to escape.

I have loads of work to do, so I'll be back later, fingers crossed.

Have a good day everyone.

Kazz - I am on tenterhooks to hear your news!

Re: Is it Thursday already? Daily Thread

Hi, Angie! Horrid day here, rained all day yesterday, going to rain all day and night and again Friday! Plus a raw East wind; really yucky. It's 4 (39F) now, wind chill 2. Had to go to the Giant for Leia's food, much as I hate shopping in the rain. Going to stay indoors where it's warm the rest of the day! Poor Kizzy, little bros can be so pesty!

Here's a weather link if anyone's interested: I do not exaggerate!

Hi Eileen - glad you're back home, warm and dry for the rest of the day. Like you, I have all my heavy groceries delivered and generally we buy fresh veg etc from our local farmshop - but it's still too far to walk and as there is no local transport here, we still go by car. Guess we'll have to move house if we ever have to get rid of our car/s! Your bad weather must be such a shock as I remember you saying it was warm earlier in the week. Poor you and poor Leia. Kizzy is indoors and has taken up her place on a cushion on one of the dinning chairs, half hidden under the table. But at least she's warm and dry. Pip is here with me, curled up asleep on his vet bed on top of his crate!

Yucky weather here today, got all wet and muddy on our dog walks today and yesterday, good job the dog rather likes having a warm shower and grooming when he gets back. OH and I settle for a cup of tea! the cats just settle for the spare room, landing and litter tray, no way they're going out into the garden in this weather!

I meant to ask MrsH - how's your knee? Better I hope if you've been out with Morgan.

Angie, Leia is the one who's had a bad week! She dislikes strangers: had the plumber Monday, then the boiler people twice yesterday hammering and banging! Plus with all the rain she has not had her afternoon grass for several days. She's sleeping off her troubles on the radiator cover now.

What do you think she's dreaming about Eileen?

It's fine thanks Angie, it just needed a bit of rest, no long-lasting damage. I'm actually walking a little faster than usual, wonder if something "clicked" into place?
