Friday's thread

4 weeks today is Christmas Day!

Grey drizzle here, so we'll take the dog out later on. Meanwhile, how about a coffee break? Slight problem, the coffee maker has just this minute broken down! Well, it's pretty old (bit like the food processor that gave up the ghost earlier in the week!) So, off to browse to find a replacement, don't want one of those capsule using types, but I admit they're useful for providing a range of coffee styles. MrH and I know what we like, a simple filter machine does us, any visitors have to put up with what they get!

Off to surf! Enjoy your Friday.

Re: Friday's thread

Morning MrsH - you are having an expensive time with domestic appliances going kaputt. I rather agree about the capsule type machines. I have one which got used a lot to start with but rarely now. I use my cafetiere regularly though.

Started off nice weather wise here, but quite a bit cooler. OH has gone off to play golf and had to check his course's website to make sure that trolleys are still allowed due to all the heavy rain we've had. My laundry day for MIL here, plus MIL and cat sitting. I had hoped that an order would arrive today, but doubt it. I have ordered one of those versatile photo albums to put all my sentimentally treasured photos of family in - it's archival quality and I've ordered a good range of different sized pages. I'm looking forward to sorting them all out finally and getting rid of all my parents' old photos that mean nothing to me. It's taken a long time to tackle this - I used to find it really upsetting, but feel up to it now.

Kizzy and Pip are rushing about playing chase - Kizzy MUST be losing weight with all her extra exercise, but I can't say I've noticed much coming off! That reminds me, I need to phone the vet to see what their procedure is for neutering. Pip will be 6 months old in a couple of weeks time - can't believe it, time goes so fast.

Have a lovely day everyone. F&C for supper again here tonight.

Hi Angie, you must have posted as I was typing mine out LOL.
Hope that your photo album arrives for you today, then you can keep yourself busy, even though it does sound like you have a busy day planned already.

I've booked Pip's "op" for Tuesday 15 December. He'll be getting microchipped at the same time. I know it's an easy op for a boy, but I will be on tin tacks until he's home again. I know all you Catseyers will understand that.

Re: Friday's thread

Hi, all. Mostly cloudy and very chilly after the cold front came thru. It's 6 (42 F) but the wind chill is only 1 !!! I should have worn a muffler in addition to everything else on the way to the market. Almost no traffic, everyone must be at the malls taking advantage of the after Thanksgiving big sales. On TV last night it showed people who'd been waiting outside in tents and long lines until the stores open at 5 am! Madness!!! Here's a comment from my daily weather e-mail:

Since September 1st, 44 days have been overcast, which is half of all days, and over 13 inches of rain has fallen at Reagan National.

Appliances are giving you trouble this week, MrsH, hope you find one that suits. Leesy, good news about Maisey; Angie, cannot believe it's almost Pip's time for the op! They do grow up so fast.

Hope it's a good day for all!

Re: Friday's thread

It's bitterly cold here today, went into town briefly with Sebi to get my nails done; he was so good, played on the floor in the salon with his lego. As a reward I bought him a muffin in Pret a Manger and also a new Thomas the Tank Engine book.

Just about to put a quiche on for the boys' dinner and will be going upstairs to give Domi a cuddle iminently as he's come back from school very tired and clingy.

My voice is still not right and the sore throat's back. Our IT support chap has Swine Flu, and kids are dropping like flies at the boys' school with various ailments . . . I just hope it all holds off until after tommorrow as I have a date in Kings Road, Chelsea with 2 of my friends for a girlie lunch and a mooch around the very nice shops up there!
