Misty & Damp Wednesday

Hi All,

Was up bright and esrly this morning 4.00am to be exact as one of the parents had an early start this morning, it was a very misty and damp start, in fact it is still them same even now , never mind hopefully we may get abit of sunshine later.

I am off out to get my nails done later, then need to get a few Christmas presents for the inlaws and other family members, never to sure really as to what to get people, but hey never mind it`s the thought that counts isn`t it.

Just back from the docs. after getting my seasonal flu jab. The cats must have been playing rough while I was out as the landing has tufts of fur all over so I'm going to have to hoover it now! Light coloured fluff really shows up badly on a dark red carpet.

OH is out in the garden renewing the contents of all the bird feeders as the horrid rain we've had recently has made all the food go mouldy. It's bright here today and not so cold as yesterday.

Hello, all.
Been going well here the last few days, the rain is not too bad but I can definitely tell there's a chill in the air.
Yesterday I put up the tree (not a big one but still a tree!) and got into the Christmas spirit. I really do love this holiday..K is a bit of a Scrooge but I am not letting that stop me this year. I am going to make it feel festive around here, budget or not.
I'll finish my shopping this wknd and I've set up plans for me and K to visit a lovely farm I have been eyeing for years around the holidays. I just point blank told him I am not asking this year, I am TELLING him we are going
Pretty much just getting excited for the holiday and trying to catch up on relaxation too. A bit of an odd combo, Xmas does get me acting like a child

Another boring office day with dreary weather outside all compounded by serious lack of sleep as Sebi was with us in bed from 10.30pm last night and he was incredibly hot and restless. I could have just stayed in bed this morning.

What a yucky day! Very wet - heavy downpours and very gloomy. I much preferred yesterday's frosty blue.

Not much to say today - I've ordered my Xmas cards from RSPB online; OH has done some online shopping. Tumble dryer is on; Kizzy is having a wash and brush-up on the office chair next to me (I have to sit on the old hard dinning chair with a cushion now!) and Pip (I think) is probably on OH's lap in front of the fire.

If it's pouring at 4.15 I think I shall give physio gym a miss today.

Don't forget the quiz tonight folks if you can make it. Kado is quizmistress tonight.

Dismal and dreary here too, heavy cloud cover, 7 (44F). wind chill 5; rain due this afternoon. Bussed down to midtown to get the shiu mai Chinese dumplings that my neighborhood supermarket no longer carries; freezer stocked again! No plans, just staying inside warm and dry with the paper, crossword and computer.

Hope it's a good day for all!

Got drenched this afternoon when out with the dog, discovered my waterproof jacket is no longer waterproof, and I was half-way round before I noticed I hadn't changed into my dog-walking jeans and had gone out into the (very) muddy woods wearing cream coloured trousers! Oops!

Dog's been bathed, a proper shampooey bath as he's off for a trim tomorrow, and I've got a hotpot in the oven for dinner later on. Think I'll have a gin now
