Cuddles Appt. on Friday

Cuddles has an appointment with the vet Friday morning at 8:45AM.
We are going to see if she is still a candidate for dental (due to her frailty and low weight) and check her thyroid level to see if the meds are still helping and such.
She has been declining in general and they have agreed to setup a payment plan with me for next year so we can still have Christmas but also get her checked out as soon as possible.
If everything still seems to be she is not suffering or is treatable, I will do what needs to be done and worry about how to pay it off later.
But if she will not survive going under and is uncomfortable with her current condition then I might have to make a difficult decision.
Wish us luck. At this point, with her age and problems I am going to pretty much ask the doctor for his honest opinion of what we should do. I'm not sure what he is going to say. I could see this going either way.
My gut is the advanced stage of her dental disease could really be a big factor here. She has gone off her food today, even the soft stuff I can usually get her to go for

She probably needs more teeth removed but her general condition with the thyroid and everthing has made her fairly frail.

I hope things go well at the vet Tink. I'm sure you will do the very best thing for Cuddles together with the vet. Good luck - is K going with you?

Thanks. If it is icy then yes I need him to drive. But if it's warm enough for no frost then I'm on my own.

Poor old dear, it's so hard seeing them go downhill when they get really old. I'm glad she's being seen and do hope that there'll be a good outcome. But you know and trust your vet and your own instincts, so whatever the decision is it will be the best for her. Praying that she'll be OK and have some more happy years with you. Big (((hugs))) to you and a gentle chin tickle to the old sweetie.

Oh Tink I do hope that all goes well at the vets tomorrow for Cuddles and that it isn`t as bad as you think it is.

The vet said her issues were not fixable and he would reccomend helping Cuddles go to the bridge.
She passed peacefully in my arms.
