Frigid Sunday!

It's bitterly cold, sunny but blustery winds, -6 (22 F) and wind shill is -15!! We're not used to this weather here, I needed to go to the market for fresh produce but it was just too cold for a 20 minute walk over and back, fortunately Carolyn called to say she was going and did I want a ride,,, so am all stocked for the next few days. This cold will linger to the weekend supposedly, ugh! So that's all my news!

Hope all are warm and dry!

Re: Frigid Sunday!

Hi Eileen - so glad Carolyn gave you a ride to the market. -15 sounds like bone marrow freezing to me! It's been just above freezing here all day, but the overnight frost never left, so we have about 3 or 4 days worth of frostiness everywhere. Didn't even stick my nose outside today.

We've taken all the decorations down - not that there were many and the cards too. Last bit of festive food for supper and then it's back to normal tomorrow. I've not felt that I've been over indulgent but I bet those pounds have crept back on.

Do you keep any cards that particularly appeal to you? I have got a picture of a red s******* (sorry Eileen) that I'm keeping and another picture of a tabby cat up to its neck in thick snow - I got two copies of that one! She looks just like Kizzy.

I too hope everyone else is warm and dry - especially our members in Scotland.

Re: Frigid Sunday!

Hello and happy new year to you all xxx
Freezing here but no where near as cold as it is with you Eileen, big hug to stay warm xxx
Been busy over the last wee while, ofcourse pup keeps me busy too. Got new clients to visit this week, fingers crossed that their dogs are as well behaved as they claim... I dont have time to do one on one walks with badly behaved dogs now.
Hope you have all had a great time over the festive period, you wont beleive this but I haven't had a drop of alcohol at all over the festivities. Will need to make up for that at some point in the year . Had a very pleasant time though and am blooming knackered all the same

Yes, Angie I've taken my decorations down, and I do keep one or two on the fridge for a while that I especially like.... cats, of course. Just checked the weather and it hasn't budged since 10 am!

Elaine: lift one for me for the New Year when you do imbibe! Glad you're keeping busy.

Hi,Kazz!

Re: Frigid Sunday!

Tree and decorations down today That's it for another year. It's bitterly cold today and despite the fire being lit and the heating running all day it's still freezing in the house.

I chopped down a tree/shrub thing in the bak garden that had buckled under the snow today and bought myself some sheepskin bootie slippers (tried to get same for boys but couldn't find any - online tomorrow methinks).

That's it! Wallender and bed with a great pressie book; Alan Davies . . . he's of my generation and his ramblings so resemble my teenage years it's a joy to read!

Re: Frigid Sunday!

Unseasonably warm here at 45 F though the rain and wind is still undecided if it wants to stay or go.
Need to go to the library today as I have six requested books waiting for me and about the same amount I need to return.
4 and 1/2 days without smoking *fingers crossed*
I'm starting to feel not so moody and more myself again
I found some Christmas stockings for cats on sale at the store yesterday, they are cute and only three dollars each so I picked up one for each to use next year
