Snowy Saturday

Awful, not only is it bitterly cold: -10 (14 F), wind chill -15, but the snow started abut 9 am and is coming down and sticking as the roads etc, are so cold. Latest forecast is 3 to 6"... Only out to grab the paper, will be an indoors day for me, and probably tomorrow too. Roll on Spring!

Hope it's a good day for all.

Re: Snowy Saturday

That sounds really awful weather there in Washington glad we don't get daytime temps like that! Stay snug indoors and do the crossword is the best advice I can come up with!

Here it's not been a bad day at all, quite a heavy overnight frost so the birdbaths needing clearing of ice, but it's been a very clear, bright day. It started clouding over round about sunset, but as it's getting dark now it no longer matters!

I'll be cooking a liver casserole for dinner tonight - one of the delights of the children growing up and leaving home is that OH and I can once again enjoy the foods that they used to turn their noses up at and refuse to eat.

Re: Snowy Saturday

Dear God Eilleen, sounds bloody terrible. We think we have it bad here but it's nothing compared to the temps you have right now. Stay in and stay warm xxx
Snowed heavily here yesterday and last night, turning bitterly cold again. Like Eileen I pray for spring.
Rayne had a great morning playing with a young beagle while I took the Diva back to the vets. She came home and flaked out, bless her. Then when I looked in the lounge to see if she had woke up, I saw she and Bernie were all cuddled up together. Thats the first time they have done that so it was really nice to see it. Sadly I didnt get a picture of it though.

Wow, Eileen that is cold. Please keep wrapped up and stay safe.

It has been a lovely Spring day here, quite cold, but sunshine and blue skies. I have managed to clear some leaves in the garden and vacuum and wash the cars!

Re: Snowy Saturday

Thanks, all. I'm well stocked, this storm had been forecast for days so I stocked up on perishables Friday and had my delivery Thursday. This is NOT normal weather for Washington, our average high is 6 (42 F). El Nino? Climate change? Whatever it is, I hate it! Still snowing, looks like about 2- 3" now. Aaaarh!

Glad I was not coming to dinner, Mrs H, I cannot stand liver! Glad Eva s getting some comfort from Bernie; when will she poo!!!???
