Thanx Mags. Saw a lovely one but it was on an american site, also saw a site which blew the ashes into glass, looked lovely but pricey and also an american site.

As for the portrait... am undecided

Friend got her wolfhound done by this artist.

I'm trying to remember the pet portrait artist I seen at the Highland Show a few years back. I'm sure she was based in Inverness. I did like her work.

Re: Pet Urns and portraits

Elaine - I used this company for a casket for Merlin's ashes and I am very happy with it. It sits on a little shelf by my desk. I have the cat-on-a-book casket.

My dear old Smudge was very much an outdoor girl, so I buried her ashes outside near her favourite place in the garden and have a stone engraved with her name over the site. I found a chap at a local show who did the stone engraving. She would have preferred to be outdoors.

I think it was Yola who posted a pic of a lovely urn .......

Mine are all buried in the garden, quite illegally.

Elaine, re the portrait I can recommend 'Nutty' 100% she drew a picture of my daughter's disabled cat, Sidney for her 18th birthday, it is excellent. In this link Sidney's portrait is the ginger cat, 6th one down on the left hand side, in his favourite meercat pose! http://www.nuttyart.co.uk/Pastel.html

Re: Pet Urns and portraits

I just wrapped Oz and Cleat in one of my old teeshirts....and buried them in the garden........did have a bit of a panic when I considered moving....but decided they loved it here..and here they would stay......so no use on urns or anything.

Emma did my pictures of Oz and Cleat and they are superb...
