St. David's Day thread

Happy St. David's Day to all our Welsh members.

It is a glorious day here - still, blue sky, a bit nippy but so much nicer than yesterday. A perfect day to work in the greenhouse, but I've got about 3 hours of urgent transcription work, so I'm going to get myself a black coffee and start on that asap.

Will pop back on for lunch. Have a good day everyone.

Re: St. David's Day thread

Morning Angie. Yes I agree a greenhouse day....:..but not for me because I haven't got a greenhouse.

Well got nothing going on here, going to try and get my hair cut....a little shorter. Then nothing as feela little unwell but want to be okay for later.

I am going over to SBridge for a fosterers meeting tonight. My last one I have to hand over to the new NV person.
I felt a little sad about it but now I am relieved, I never realised it had taken over so much.

Have a good day all Karen

Re: St. David's Day thread

Afternoon ladies; sun is also shining here but I'm sat in the office staring at my PC screen. Not much going on, just the usual daily grind stuff

Fell off the wagon yesterday and drank a bottle of wine, which I'm very cross about so back to abstaining. That's my problem, no self-control; be it wine, chocolate or cheese if it's in the house I'll demolish it!

Re: St. David's Day thread

Hi all. March came in somewhat leonine with high winds making it chillier than the actual 4 degrees (40 F), but it's sunny. Not what you would call lamblike, hope by the end of March we'll be back to normal temps. February ran 4 degrees colder daily than the average. Up to the other market to stock up on Leia's favorite food in case the snow due Wednesday is bad.

Kazz, sorry you're not feeling too good, take care and don't overdo, please. Yola, remember Oscar Wilde's comment about temptation ....?

Enhoy the day, people.

Re: St. David's Day thread

I saw the sun today all day!

No daffs out yet but loads of pretty crocuses open in the sun, a lovely sight. (not in my garden unfortunately, I think MrH dug ours up!) Hellebores coming along, including some self-sowns, wonder what colour they'll be?

Blood-test day at the hospital, such a long queue though, was there over an hour and then my arm kept on leaking most unusual as it's normally a dickens of a job to get any blood out!

Kazz, take it easy and Yola, lay off the wine! send it to me!!!

Re: St. David's Day thread

Hi all - sunny day here too, unfortunately not warm enough to melt the dreadful white stuff but enough to bring a smile to everyones face.

Not a lot on tonight just Catsey and some paperwork.

Kazz look after yourself, don't push it.

yola - you have 2 of my weaknesses - cheese and chocolate!!!

hope you managed to fit in some time in the greenhouse angieh.

hope that snow doesn't come to much DM - but glad to see you're ensuring madam is well stocked up.

Mrs H - our daffs are only about half inch out of the ground. So quite a bit to go before we see them.

Re: St. David's Day thread

I know St David's day has now gone but never mind.
It was a really nice day where I am yesterday the sun was out but I felt really ill and bogged up so I didn't really go outside.
Still feel ill so I've decided that I'm going to stay in today

Oh yeah and Happy St David's day for yesterday!!
