OK - I love Daphne for spring perfume. I love Rosemary because it reminds me of the Mediterranean - same goes for Lavender. I love Witch Hazel, Mahonia, Honeysuckle and Philadelphus - all for the scent. In fact, I just love scented plants. Thymes and mints for low growing. But you need structure too - bamboos (clumping varieties), make a nice swishing sound in the breeze and ferns if you have a nice shady place. Depending on your soil and other conditions of course. |

Oh and that mysterious plant that Moli or Calismum (I think!) identified - Himalayan Balsam - it does have the most exotic pendulus flowers. I still have mine! |
