Magic Monday

Hi all - taking a break from a very busy lambing to catch up with Catsey. It is gorgeous here - our mums are lying in the sun chewing their cud and keeping an eye on their new offspring. Ideal weather, and if it keep up for the next couple of days the grass might start to grow too!

Was remembering yesterday it was a year since I lost my angel Kinsi - time flies in, doesn't it?

Hope you are all well. OH is calling so we are going up the hill to try and catch a ewe (not easy - could do with a bit of rugby tackle training)

Enjoy the day folks.

Re: Magic Monday

Lovely day here too, no lambs here as mine are too old but the sheep and the goats are out enjoying the day.
Don't envy you catching a sheep, ours are like tanks when feeding them I'm amazed I've not been knocked over yet, nothing stops them, and they are just the right height to get your knees.

Re: Magic Monday

Hi, CM, farthing, glad you're having such lovely weather. Nice here to, 17 C (62 F), and sunny. No errands today so just a lie in and pottering; have to keep working on income tax later, ugh!

Never thought about catching a sheep ... lariat lessons?

Have a good day, people!

Re: Magic Monday

Afternoon all - just catching up with a cuppa!

I have a hilarious picture in my head of calismum rugby tackling a ewe up a hill. In my picture, there are a couple of sheep dogs involved and Mr C too and one of those whizzy-scootery things. I wish I could cartoon!

A nice sunny day today, but there is a cold wind. Lovely under glass and my chilli peppers and beginning to look healthy. They are still only about 2 inches high though!!! OH and I have been to the garden centre again for more compost and managed to come home with only what we went for - that's more or less a first!!!

We had a visit from the Memory Nurse this morning. She is a lovely lady and so easy to chat to. I'm afraid that I poured out my heart and she was concerned that I am struggling, which is true. OH has been much more helpful and understanding since .................... wonder how long that will last??? He said he had no idea. We are also looking into getting someone in for a few hours each week to sit with mother and do some light housework and get her lunch on a regular basis, which will give us the opportunity to get out of the house. Someone is coming to see what can be arranged on Wednesday - fingers crossed for that.

Have a good day peeps!

Re: Magic Monday

Angie, think that would be so great if you could get someone to help with MIL and give you (and OH) some time to yourselves. I can imagine how difficult it has been ......
