Tom loses it

This morning Tom was shocked to find a big entire Tom Cat on our drive
He's had problems with him before but he hasn't been around for a while.
Tom went ballistic and chased him off, swearing at the top of his voice. He then turned around and attacked Malaika the pup and his brother Jerry.

Re: Tom loses it

Think that's called displaced aggression Shelley. He'd like to have attacked the tomcat but as the foe ran away he had to get rid of the aggression somehow. Do cats have adrenalin? Hope they've made friends again though.

Malaika is always getting Tom, so it was payback for her.
Poor Jerry was a bit shocked though.

Yep, misplaced aggression. Quite a shock for the attackees, though!

Our last Basenji used to try and get the milkman when he leaned over the gate to collect money.
Because he couldn't reach him he used to bite me :O
