Poppet's gone to the vets

She went to the vets today, was speaking to her owner.

I was getting ready for work when I noticed her heading back to her home limping so I told her owner, her owner got a vet appointment (she already knew about Poppet's leg) and according to the vet Poppet's got a skin infection.

I've offered to help give Poppet her medicine if Poppet's owner's struggling to give her the medicine.

I'll let you know how she's doing when I next see Poppet. She really needs to put weight on as well - vets orders. Seriously underweight even with the remainders of Dylan's meals. Can feel her backbone prominently.

I will HK (I'm going to continue letting Poppet help herself to Dylan's food, particularly if it helps her put weight on)

Poor Poppet - makes me wonder if there's something else going on with her. Has she been wormed recently RCR, do you know?

Poor wee girl! Bless you for feeding her and offering to help with the treatment; some cats are impossible to medicate, and you have certainly had lots of practice! ; Hope the infection clears up. Good suggestion about the worming.

As far as I know she's been flead and wormed.

Would the vet have picked up on anything just by looking at her if there was anything wrong do you think?

I doubt that RCR - we all know how well cats can disguise things. I would be worried if a cat was eating but not putting on weight. Over active thyroid springs to mind, but I am not a vet!!!

I was talking to her owner today.

She's definitely been wormed (vet did it). Her leg is showing signs of improvement and the vet wants to see her again in a month.

Well, that's good news! I hope the leg continues to improve and that she puts on some weight.

I hope so too DM

She's got a tummy on her but her backbone is visible and you can feel it when stroking her.
