Mr Tomsk.

Mr Tomsk has been microchipped, castrated, flontlined, wormed and had his first set of vaccines and seems to be settling into being a house cat. He is very affectionate and was allowed to meet his new feline family for the first time last night. We were worried he would be a bit of a fighter and expected a disturbed night, however after a short burst of meowing and growling he retreated to his bed on the windowsil and stayed there all night. I think the sight of Pumpkin, Sooty and Loki all waiting to meet him scared him- they are all bigger than him.
He has not left his room yet and is very clingy when we go near it, I am sure that this won't last long and have a feeling he and Loki will be a force to be reckoned with.

Re: Mr Tomsk.

I expect you are very used to introductions farthing, but I wonder did you have your fingers firmly crossed for a good outcome? Hope all cats settle down very quickly with their new house mate!

Glad to hear it went so well with Mr. Tomsk, farthing. You never know how the introductions will go.

Re: Mr Tomsk.

I am always nervous with any introductions, the only good thing is that the residents are fairly used to newcomers.

Poor Mr Tomsk is still hiding on the window and the boys have now stolen his favourite toy mouse, even Candy joined in playing with it- they never usually look at toys much but obviously wanted to make him jealous.

I'm sure by the end of the week he will be on bed with the rest of them and giving us even less room.

Good to read that things went fairly smoothly. A bit of up and downing is expected - after all, cats wouldn't be cats if they couldn't make a fuss about something

Re: Mr Tomsk.

Sad how the others have hijacked his mouse though - that's kinda cruel, isn't it?
