Sunday

Morning all bright and warmish here.
Out into the front garden for me,

Short and sweet, this morning the outside beckons me with the promise of sun on my face....

Have a good day all see you later roast chicken for dinner....

Re: Sunday

Morning Kazz! OH is outside mowing the lawns and I think I shall go out and take out the summer bedding in the pots that is looking very sad. Ordered bulbs are beginning to arrive. My gardening man planted 100 English bluebell bulbs for me yesterday! Too early to plant out tulips and I need to go to the garden centre to find something to put in the pots - pansies or cyclamen (I love cyclamen) perhaps.

Beef stew, mashed pots and cabbage for supper tonight.

Does anyone else think that the potato ricer is one of the best little gadgets on the market today???

Enjoy the sunshine everyone.

Re: Sunday

Good morning, it's a very pleasant morning too

Kazz, I'm sure you'll enjoy your roast chicken, we're going to my parents to eat. I supplied the chicken for them, and they'll cook the veg and my dad will do his magnificent gravy, can't wait.
Angie, my pots could do with a make over and winter pansies sound good. The one hanging basket is looking very sorry for itself, maybe just some ivy left dangling now. The lawn is due an autumn feed to repel moss so will get onto that ASAP.

Enjoy your sun for as long as it lasts, watch out for those rogue showers. x

Afternoon all, nice and sunny at the moment but we have had some showers.
Been to the car boot this morning so Malaika got a walk as well, she's sulking because Milo has gone.
Going to list a few things on ebay and then try to relax.
Roast chicken and the trimmings for O/H and Chris. I will be having veggie Haggis.
Tom still chasing architrave creatures, i had the camera poised today but no luck.
Angie the Bluebells sound nice they will make a lovely display.
Kazz hope your enjoying being out in the garden.
PP hope you have a nice meal at your parents.
Back later.

It's a wonderful gadget Emma - and of course you would get the perfect cottage pie topping! I bought one for my OH for his novelty C-present last year. He loves it as do we all. No more lumpy mash!

Re: Sunday

Feels like November here! Chilly, wet, gloomy, only 17 C (63 F); got some needed rain (.43" so far) which will help with the drouth, but made for a miserable trip to the market getting on and off the bus with bags and an umbrella trying to stay dry! Inside and warm now and will stay here!

I hate lumpy mashed potatoes and agree the ricer is a wonderful invention. Curried potatoes, broiled crab cake and fresh spinach here tonight.

The bluebells sound lovely. Two of my pots looking poorly, the portulaca and miniature dahlia, geraniums doing fine. I haven't ordered bulbs yet but have been going thru the catalogue and am probably going to order some lovely lily flowered orange tulips, something blue to go with them, and more crocus.

Enjoy dinners tonight, all sound yummy. Hope it's a good day for all.

Re: Sunday

Oh my Donna you must be so fit!!!

Lovely day here, I have a long line of washing drying. My pots and baskets are looking very sorry for themselves now. Think I may have picked the last of the runner beans too.

Hope everyone has enjoyed a sunny Sunday.
