Cattitude

Fond this definition when I was Googling sometbing else:

What is CATtitude?

  • CATtitude is
    1) The ability of a feline to hold its humans in a constant state of servitude through a general aloofness. Characterized by, “Oh, you want me…I’ll get back to you in my own sweet time”; 2) Being able to deliver a vast array of emotions using one and only one facial expression, best described by the word “blasé”; 3) People have dogs -- Cats have people.

Re: Cattitude

I like it. Dogs are fine but a bit too needy for my taste which is why cats suit me better with their cattitude

Re: Cattitude

Good one Eileen.
Basenjis are very like Cats in the fact they don't naturaly need to please people. If asked to do something they will consider it and if the reward is great enough they may do it

That's a good definition - I love their independence of spirit!

Lol Eileen...

Someone once said (wasn't me) to be emotionally balanced you have to be overwhelmed by a dog, then ignored by a cat....

Re: Cattitude

Cats can do the ignoring bit so well! A friend was over once and we were eating spiced shrimp on the porch, he wanted to give Dandy some, I said no as they were too spicy. Next time said friend was over, he was a non-person as far as Dandy was concerned. Would not look at him, completely and very obviously still angry at no treat. And Dandy was a people cat who loved everyone and attention ,,,it was such a deliberate snub it was all we could do to keep from laughing ......

Re: Cattitude

Haha... that is brilliant.
Harry is the attention seeker in our house and gets jelous if I spend too much time with or talking to any of the other animals. So jelous that he will come to wherever I am, meow loudly and then turn his back on me and just sit there. If I touch him while his back is turned, he does this moany noise like as if to say LEAVE ME ALONE!

Re: Cattitude

Haha reminds me of Hestia who parades in front of me with her butt high in the air making little squeaky meows at me and then when i go to pet her, turns around and swats and hisses and in the same heartbeat rolls on her back and shows me her tummy..talk about mixed signals
