Cats and Boxers, a double whammy on the picture front. Love the run perfect for outside inside cats.

Did they enjoy their first venture out? I was wondering about how you were going to keep at bay the "local cats" but see the solution of two Boxers should cope perfectly.

Oh weve always had 3/4 dogs at anyone time we lost our red girl last June to liver disease. Katie is the wee one with renal disease. Harvey is (thankfully) a healthy boy!

The local cats are curious & come to touch noses through the fence. Theres Rick & Skip from 2 doors down & Nasty-cat from 2 doors other way. She loathes other cats!! I had to chase her twice this week for attacking Rick.

Do you think the local cats could be a nuisence?

The dogs are very cat savy. They cant understand the run, think they'd like to be in it too

Yes they love the run. Ambers looking for a way out. Determined wee lady. If theres a weakness she'll find it. Ive gone over it myself with fine toothcOmb. If it happens it does. Cat flap not working right. Either stays open or closed. They put it on wrong way. You have to pjysically go out into cat run to open it!! I'll ask Brian next door to have a look - it was ok when i bought it. Think they cut the hole too small, squished/forced flap in & thats why its catching. Littke things to annoy!

No did not mean they could be a nuisance but if you get a Tom spraying yours could get a little insure maybe. But sure they will love being outside and safe.
I think its a fantastic idea, really do. Superb.

Oh right, never thought of that. Ambers selected a corner as a toilet area to wee in. Tim just comes in to use the litter tray.

The local cats - most are neutered, are wary of the dogs anyway but i will keep a lookout for any strangers - lots farms around here. Thanks for the warning.

Re: Whats going on!!!!!!!

If the cat flap is not a major worry then why not prop it open with a peg. Hold it open then clip a peg from the washing line in the corner stopping it from closing - like you do when encouraging a kitten to use a cat flap.

You mean you don't have to stay there, bent double holding the flap open to allow young sir or miss to go in and out?

Lovely photo series Velvet - love the look on Harvey and Katie's faces and the storyline - made me chuckle!
