Hello welcome to Catsey!

Everyone has their own ideas however we fed ours

Nature Menu wet kitten food
Pro Plan kitten dry food

If you are changing foods, do so gradually so as not to upset digestion - over a few days

Would love to see photos!

You are right about information being confusing. Really you pay your money and make your choice and then have to take into account whether your kitten will eat the food happily! I really wanted my kitten to eat a good quality wet food, but would he? No. Luckily he is now all grown up and likes ProPlan Adult.

That sums it up pretty well, whatever they will eat that's good for them. Do you have any adult cats? I've found, as have others, that kittens, if given a chance, prefer eating the grown-up stuff!
