Today was a big day for Mindy, the lady who rescued her from the dirt tip where she was living with another kitten and the lady who runs the rescue came to visit.
Mindy is still a little bit people shy with strangers - she took one look at her visitors and ran and hid behind the sofa... Tim and Amber were much more amicable which was strange in itself as Tim is nervous of strangers but he was happily purring round their feet
Their advice, now that she has had her vaccs was to let her go out into the run with the older cats.....
Felt quite sad at the thoughts of my "baby" going outside
After the visitors had left went into the cooker room with Tim + Amber with little Mindy following. Amber realised right away what was happening and led Mindy over to the wall and jumped up onto it, went out the cat flap and came back in again.
After some hesitation Mindy jumped to the top of the wall, at which point Amber went outside. Mindy put her head out the cat flap and then her head and shoulders looking about her. She stayed like that for a few minutes before taking off with a jump - some photos below......
Mindy on the wall looking about her
Half in / half out of the cat flap to the outside world
Straight into the feed bin on its side - hide for a while - scary place this outside world!! Tim reaches down to reassure
Getting braver and trying to get Tim's attention
Investigating from the top of the wastebin
Having a look around
