She's a proper little poppet, just getting into the gangly stage I think ...... love the way that anything and everything is explored. Have you had the jump back from something not seen before and then the paw slowly reaching out to investigate, giving a quick pat and then withdrawn quickly only to be repeated a second later?

I love the jump-back maneuver! They do that all their lives ...I've had my grown ups do it sometimes at a strange, possibly threatening thing!

You've described it perfectly there! Love it when they do that, it's classic! ..so funny.
Mitzi does that almost every night as part of her night time routine when we're all tucked up she pretends she's never seen my fingers before pop up from under the top of the duvet and the pounce ears come forward, then the tentative paw gently batting the sudenly exposed fingertip..For an old lady it's very kitten like and she likes it so we play it each night! 'Such fun'!!

Oh yes, they all do it! When Mindy was walking across the floor last night, one of the dogs moved & sneezed, she was quite close & was so startled, she did a sideways leap in the air with her hair standing on end, it was like something you would see on a cartoon.

She is beginning to find her feet now, when one of the dogs leaves the armchair, she gets up & lies on it.
