Fursday Fred (Thursday Thread!)

Hi all - overcast and cold here. OH has taken Monty to the vet for his snip this morning. We will be Montyless for the first time since last Easter Monday and the house will seem strange, but at least we will be able to vacuum without problems. I have become very attached to our little dog, and over the last couple of weeks he has started to change into a lovely companionable boy. I do so hope all goes well and that he doesn't hold it against us

I may be having my computer wiz visit today to install a new backup drive .... not sure if he got our message about today being a good opportunity!

Grocery delivery too later this morning.

Have a good day folks, please send "good luck" vibes to Master Monty Bogle.

Hope all goes well for Master Monty! I'd sure he'll be fine.
I'm having a Deja vu day as we followed the same slip slidy start to the day so I could get the same train to London Different meeting today though - starting a new team so doing some team building and setting them a project to do together which I hope they will enjoy.
Stay warm and safe everyone and extra vibes for Monty.

Good luck vibes to Master Monty on his big day I am sure he will be just the same when he comes back home although (minus to fluffy things) lol. We had Mia spayed a couple of weeks back and I was sooooo worried all day long like you do but they are in good hands and come bouncing back.
It has just started sleeting here, am hoping it dosen`t start snowing as we have a long drive tomoz as we are helping my Daughter and her boyfriend move up to Edinbrugh. It won`t be much fun in the snow in fact a bit scary
Take care everybody and keep and dry

Re: Fursday Fred (Thursday Thread!)

We had the call from the vet a while ago to say Monty has had his op and all is well. Evidently he howled when OH left him, but soon settled down. So glad it's not a spay, I'd be a nervous wreck! Pipster knows his friend is missing and keeps coming up to me and miaowing.

I'd like to be in your team CS - how great having projects set where enjoyment is hoped for!

Fingers crossed it doesn't snow Leesy, or if it does it doesn't settle.

PS Sun has come out here and it feels almost Springlike outside.

Re: Fursday Fred (Thursday Thread!)

Glad Monty's op is over, boys recover really quickly from neutering (well, cats do anyway! I've never had a boy dog done)

It's quite bright here, a little hazy but soooo cold! I'll stay in this afternoon now that I've warmed up after Morgan's morning walk. Think I'll do a bit more on my crocheting. this clematis cushion is what I'm working on. Everyone thinks it's rather more than a bit OTT but I prefer to think of it as a challenge

Hoping for no snow, enjoy the rest of your day!

Re: Fursday Fred (Thursday Thread!)

Can't warm up today, can't shake off my headache either. Pretty well nothing much to report, bit of the same-old, same-old

Am starting to look for a replacement for my car which I've had for just over a year. Much as I've loved having a convertible, when the roof is down there is hardly enough space even for the boys' games kits and taking bikes anywhere is pretty well impossible. Am considering BMW 5 series estates; they do a really pokey one too so OH, who likes fast cars, is making noises that resembles agreement

Angie glad that Monty's op all went well . . . I'm sure he'll forgive you given enough treats

Re: Fursday Fred (Thursday Thread!)

afternoon catsey people.
Angie i'm glad Monty is ok and hope he's back home with you soon. Thanks for a great quiz last night, i enjoyed it.
I give up and have just purchased two gentle leaders for the dogs (online) They are both difficult on the lead for pulling despite in Malaika's case nearly two years of training. They both understand perfectly well how to heel and can do it if they are in the mood. However i am never in the mood to be pulled along and walks are quite stressful especialy if they are both out together. It's worth a try.
Work this morning, nearly got wiped out on the way by a stupid man driving a lorry, it was a nightmare.
Hoping for a cozy, lazy evening in front of the box....

Re: Fursday Fred (Thursday Thread!)

Shelley - hope you are OK? Very scary experience.

Monty is home and is very quiet, to be expected. Hope he's more himself tomorrow. He has eaten some kibble and had a good drink of water. OH will take him round the garden on the lead later before bed. I am so very glad that I ordered one of those softe collars, the vet nurse said he hadn't been worrying, but he started almost immediately he got out of the car so I put the collar on him straight away. Brilliant thing, so much more comfortable than those horrid plastic things.
