Start early Sunday

Well people - GOOD MORNING.

Here I am up with the late sleeping lark

J I hope you had a brilliant day at the beach and saw the hares.....never seen one in the wild myself, and it' a shame you don't have the transport. Is unemployment bad in your country?
Your garden sounds nice what are your plans for it?

Angie there is something about even a light drizzle that causes woman and dog here to be soaked through. So the common denominator there is obviously the "dog" as Eileen would say "don't get a dog stay dry"

C.S. Glad your father in laws funeral went well - it's a sad time and pleased that they did him proud.
I am not sure I have ever heard 'The Dream of Gerontius' although I am a bit thick sometimes with titles to the songs but when I hear them I think "ahhh" hope it went well anyhow.

To everyone else I hope you had a good start to the weekend. Mine was a bit stop start but got going eventually.
Plans in place for Mom and Dad's anniversary next weekend all plans for the meal have now been scrapped as Mom's swallowing is not up to eating in public but balloons, cakes, presents etc all in place. And tickets brought for them to see St George's day show at Symphony hall 21 April.

Right had my coffee toast and marmite now and starting to organise the bedroom a little I think - can't settle with it as it is not sure why.
Also may book the car in for a service I only drive short distances and oil changes make a difference I am told but want the car to last a while so being a 55 reg but it's not yet done 30,000 yet so was thinking oil change but a service will do it good instead. Then at MOT time in Oct/Nov he can have a mini-service instead. Have to keep Percy fit and well.

Right here I am ready to have a quick browse of the posts yesterday then off and about may even have a go in the garden as well.............Hmmmmm now thats a thought. See you later Peeps.

Morning

Mmm yeah its pretty bad. I've now been unemployed for over 2 years. And its impossible to find anything.

I have no real plans. The bit with dirt is not that big, but I was thinking some peas, tomatoes and strawberries. I'd like that.

This picture was taken late december, when I just moved in

Re: Start early Sunday

Morning Kazz, Pamela and Jeanette! Gloriously sunny day here, blue sky not sure how warm though. Need to get down to the raspberry patch to weed and replant where last year's planting failed, have 5 nice new canes to go in ready soaking in a bucket in the greenhouse. But first need to go and see OH's mum - not looking forward to that as OH's brother went yesterday and she's not a happy bunny. Feel I must go as I don't go that often.

Kazz - sorry to hear your Mom's swallowing isn't good. Can anything further be done to help her? Hope the big Anniversary goes well though, sure it will and you'll all have a happy day.

Pamela - have a happy visiting day!

Jeanette - could you get some growbags while you have the car? You could grow salady type leaves etc. Just a thought. I feel very sorry for people without jobs - best thing I ever did was go self-employed, but my circumstances were totally different.

Hope all have a Happy Mother's Day.

Re: Start early Sunday

Happy Mothers day to all our memebers who are mums to humans, felines, canines and any other pets.
Karen hope your parents anniversary goeas well next week.
Angie i hope your visit to MIL is not too bad.
Hi Pamela and Jeanette.
The weekend has been very busy for me, it started on Friday, work have been holding an international conference so all conducting staff were expected to help. We hosted a cheese and wine evening at the centre and then yesterday i was at the hotel from 8.30 untill 5.30 to help there.
Last night we went to a st Patricks day party next door.
It's a beautiful day here and the dogs have had a good long walk, my parents are calling later to pick up stuff to take to the caravan.

You can always ask here .... it's too early to plant salad outdoors so you have plenty of time to get seed etc.

The Internet is a brilliant resource for gardeners too, and it's probably a good idea to find someone with knowledge local to where you live in Denmark. Good luck!

Re: Start early Sunday

Thanks for asking folks - MIL was quite cheerful - she has always been a bit of a one for turning on a sixpence, so the visit was OK. She does look so tired and her speech is more slurred than usual. Her kind of dementia is characterised by tiny strokes, so she may have had more, it's hard to tell.
