Sunny Wednesday

Morning all! Nice day here atm - blue sky, little white fluffy clouds and sunny. Not sure how warm, haven't been outside yet. Feeling less stiff than yesterday - I ended up snuggled by the fire with two jumpers, two pairs of socks and a woolly scarf around my neck. Finally warmed up around 8.15 in the evening after a medicinal rum and ginger wine.

OH has taken Monty for a run about. Monty has now decided he likes chasing a ball - it did take him a while to cotton on to the idea, so we have one of those cunningly designed ball throwers for him now. He is still pants at bringing the ball back, but after all he's not a retriever.

Some laundry today - should be out on the line by now but hey, I was late up.

Dog training this evening - do hope Monty settles better than last week, so "Be Good" vibes very much appreciated.

Have a good day folks

Re: Sunny Wednesday

afternoon Angie and anyone who follows.
Sending Be Good vibes to Monty
Not a good start to the day for me, Jerry has randomly weed in the house over the last week or so, mostly in the Kitchen, we had hoped it was because a ginger tom has been hanging around. However when i picked him up for a cuddle, my pj top became warm in one spot and i discovered he's wet. Consequently he is booked into the vets at 5.50 this evening. Hoping and praying it's something simple and easily fixed.

Re: Sunny Wednesday

Almost afternoon

We've been at the vet's for a shot of cartrophene and then we enjoyed the sun in our front garden.. Aaah that was so nice

Its too windy in the backgarden, so as the sun disappeared behind my roof, we went inside

Luna was boiling hot, but wouldnt budge from the sun

Oh dear Shelley - I do hope as you say that Jerry just has an easily treatable infection. Healing vibes and fingers crossed for him. Thanks for the Be Good vibes for Monty.

Jeanette - was the cartrophene for Luna's cut?

No its something she gets because she had a bad back recently. Her masseuse suggested we tried with some cartrophene injections. They help to make the cartilage better (I think that's it)

I found this:

"Inhibition of enzymes which break down cartilage in addition to stimulating natural inhibitors of these destructive enzymes. Stimulation of the production of lubricant and cartilage molecules by the joint cells. Improvement of the circulation of blood to the arthritic tissues, thus improving nutrition to the joint tissues. All this adds up to help repair and rejuvinate the damaged cartilage."

Here: http://www.kvh.com.au/Cartrophen%20Vet.html

She has had one each week for 4 weeks now. Next week is the last time.

The paw doesn't requiere anything else than attention and some cream to keep it soft, thankfully

Re: Sunny Wednesday

Shelley, I hope Jerry's waterworks get sorted out easily, not nice when you're faced with unexpected weeing

It's a beautiful day here, warm and sunny perfect for a nice walk in the woods. Actually I think I've broken the dog after yesterday's route march today's run in the woods seems to have worn him out completely. He's currently lying on the hearth (nice cool slate!) grunting in his sleep. Angie we saw a very biddable, handsome mini Schnauzer on the way back, trotting along obediently just in front of the owner, trouble was it was off-lead alongside the road I would never dare do that with Morgy, he has no road sense whatsoever and in any case isn't it against the law, shouldn't dogs always be on the lead by the public highway?

Re: Sunny Wednesday

Thanks to your Be Good vibes, Monty did much better at class this evening. He settled down after his initial squealing and did not show us up!

I am wondering how Shelley's Jerry got on - fingers crossed for him here.

Thanks for the explanation of the use of cartrophen Jeanette - I've not come across that before.
