Re: Monday

Morning Shelley! Hope you get time for a coffee, which is what I'm doing just now. Nearly finished cleaning the bathroom - I do put these things off.

OH has got back from a very wet walk with Monty. It's chucking it down atm. He said that Monty was shivering waiting to get back into the car, but luckily with his nice short coat (which is visibly growing!) he dries off quickly now. He's nice and warm too so nothing to worry about.

I have transcription work this afternoon but not too much luckily. Did plan to do a bit more in the greenhouse, but it's so horrid and chilly that I may put that off too.

Have a good day everyone.

Re: Monday

It's raining again, just for a change! I know it's still not enough for the reservoirs and especially not for the underground aquifers but at least it's great for the gardens and the water butts and it must be doing something for those rivers and streams that were running so low. I'm sure the little fishies appreciate it!

I'm still waiting for delivery of the new porch light, it seems ages ago since I ordered it. I was told to expect delivery within 7 working days, that expired on Friday so I have emailed them querying its whereabouts and now await further developments. It's so annoying but at least while I'm stuck indoors I'm getting quite a lot of other stuff done, good job it's raining so I'm not tempted into working in the back garden where I would possibly miss the delivery man! I'm very careful to time my loo visits to when OH is around, don't want to get caught stuck in there at an inconvenient time!

Time for a cuppa, have a nice afternoon!

Re: Monday

Well I've just arrived in London an hour and a half late and got straight back on the same train home. Some poor soul was hit by a train near Royston so everything was delayed while they were attended to. I heard a helicopter at one point so I guess if they had the air ambulance in that there was hope for the poor devil.
No point trying to get to my meeting so i'm just heading back. A minor niggle compared to what some people will be going through but it was a thoroughly depressing experience on a miserable, grey day.

Oh no, CS - that's just awful. I am sorry for you too though, that journey for nothing on such a horrid day.

Re: Monday

CS, lets hope the poor person survives, it doesn't bear thinking about.
Well i think we have had all the nice weather here, it's been dry and sunny all day.
Karen, no i don't work Mondays, being part time. Mind you i worked hard at home today, got the bathroom cleaned, floors cleaned and the gardens done.
Made the mistake of taking both dogs into a nearby field on the extending leads. The grass has grown realy long and they quickly got over stimulated by it. They ran riot with me hanging on to the leads for dear life
