I think it's Wednesday daily

Morning all, I'm on a train to York. It us a thoroughly miserable day and changing at Peterborough meant a freezing wait on the platform!
Hope the weather is better where you are. We are in a lot of trouble with the moggies for not sorting it out!

Re: I think it's Wednesday daily

Morning CS - I do hope you don't have to wait long at Peterborough. It's horrid here too, windy and raining and chilly. I am chuffed though because my PetPlanet order has just come - Monty had enough food left for this evening. We were thinking we'd have to make a trip out to P@H. The delivery man said he loves the noise the wind makes through trees. We have loads of trees around us and I have to say if the wind is strong, like it is today, it can be quite scary.

Kizzy has given me the eye this morning as she found it wet and windy at both front and back doors. Pip doesn't care, he goes outside whatever. I think he does it because he likes being dried off by me and a few sheets of paper towel!!!

Have a good day folks, keep dry and warm if possible. I don't recommend cuddling a wet cat ..... well only 2 stars perhaps!!!

Re: I think it's Wednesday daily

Goodness but it's been horrid here weatherwise. The road outside our house was completely awash for a couple of hours this morning but fortunately it's all drained away now. Next door's guttering couldn't cope and the water was gushing all over the garden, nothing will be done about it I fear, the house has been empty (but fully furnished) for more than a year since the owner went off to live with a new chap in the Ipswich area, her son comes and stays for a weekend now and again though.

The wind blew our bird table over sometime before 7.00am so now there's a lot of seed and stuff all over the lawn and the pigeons are having a great time! The cats haven't noticed that there's bad weather both out the front and the back as I don't think they've stirred from their room today. They've got bed, food, toys and tray in there and it's warm too, why should they risk going out?

So pleased to be retired, I only go out when I want to nowadays my sympathies to those who are out and about.

Re: I think it's Wednesday daily

Well, the rain seems to have abated here for the moment. OH and I have just got back from having a couple of pints and lunch over at the pub. OH hadn't been home long with Monty before the heavens absolutely opened and we had quite a few minutes of torrential downpour. I've been with headphones on working at transcription this morning, so didn't hear the thunder or see the lightening!

A bit more work to do and then Kindle and maybe a snooze ....... as MrsH says, sympathies to those who have to be out and about.

Re: I think it's Wednesday daily

had a very industrious day today, cleaned out the kitchen cupboards and had a change around, now we won't be able to find anything, lol.
Also defrosted the chest freezer before i shop again next week, there is now ice all over the back lawn, Jerry was very pleased to find a few stray peices of raw mince amongst it.
Yoga this evening, then a nice chill out i think.
