Re: mondeo monday

Afternoon Pamela - I am just back from having a tooth out. Much easier than I and the dentist thought - no root, no wonder it was wobbling about! Still very numb from the anaesthetic which probably wasn't actually needed! Trouble is, it's right in the front bottom jaw, so I have an obvious gap - dentist recommends waiting a month at least before deciding whether to have any sort of falsie. I'm not a vain person but somethings just can't be tolerated and I've got to see if I can live with it or not.

Hope you have a good day at work Pamela.

Will pop back later to see if anything else is going on.

Re: mondeo monday

Afternoon people.

Have a good day at work Pamela.
Angie glad you are not in any discomfort after the dentist.

Not much happening here, took Mom to the wool shop to get roses for some baby hats for a neighbours great granddaughter, much joy the lady herself has 4 sons and they all have sons so she has 11 grandsons, this baby is the first great grandchild and first grandchild on both sides everyone is totaly chuffed, her husband died last year and she has been asked by her grandson and granddaughter in law if she will "babysit" one day a week when the baby's mom goes back to work - she is a staff nurse.

A much loved baby girl by the sound of it Kazz, your neighbour must be thrilled to be asked to babysit a lovely baby girl after all those boys!

Today I went out to afternoon tea with former colleagues as a send-off to a very experienced teacher who is moving to a new school. Such a lovely tea, the macaroons were to die for and a good time had by all. It was held in the hotel where our son's wedding took place in 2010 so it brought back some super memories too.

Angie, so glad you weren't in pain in the dentist's chair, it can be a real ordeal. Have you thought about a dental implant? it's expensive but made such a difference to OH who had horrid front teeth and rarely smiled before having implants done.

I have no idea of the price of dental implants, MrsH but suspect they would be way out of my league!

Re: mondeo monday

I hope your mouth is feeling OK now it's un-numbed Angie? I'm with you on dental costs! My NHS dentist delights in telling me what brilliant options she could give me whenever I need a filling/crown if only I would pay to go private- the prices are crazy! Gets me quite cross.

Pamela I have to admit I hated driving Mondeos when I worked for a place that often had them as hire cars. Something about all the curves made them really hard to park- I could never work out where the back was!

Sunny day here- I've just been enjoying the evening scents in the garden.

I'm from a family that had a lot of girls so my first nephew (after three nieces) was a nice surprise.

Re: mondeo monday

Glad they redesigned it- being short can cause problems with seeing out sometimes!

My first car was a Mini and I had to have blocks on the back of the driver's seat so I could see over the bonnet!!!!!
