work

I had an interesting meeting with my team manager today. She knows that i want to make a career for myself in my work and that i want more responsibility. She told me today that i am moving teams at the end of the month as 1 of the other team managers is very unorganised and has quite a negative attitude team. Im being moved to this team as im usually quite upbeat and i will be helping the manager with doing team briefs, organising things such as making sure the monthly training is up to date. will also be helping to get the team stats organised and formatted on teh white board we mark it up on. I will also be running the team when my manager is on holiday.

Its a great opportunity but will miss my team that im in just now but will still see them. Its also a compliment that they think i can handle it as i have only been in the team/department for 4 month. Looking forward to teh challenge but i know im going ot get some opposition from the new team eventhough i will still be doing teh same job as them but will have more responsibility

Well done Pamela - you're obviously good at your job and it's great that your attitude has been noticed. It will be hard, change always is, but hopefully before long you'll be a big part of a happier team.

Re: work

Congratulations. And start as you mean to carry on......and try not to alter your personality if you cannot keep it up long term.
I have to say only one thing say nothing to someone else about a member of your team you would not want to say to their face.... or hear repeated on an answer machine.

And make you you do not just do the work and get none of the credit.

Re: work

Thanks for the advice kazz. Thankfully im not 1 to talk about people behind their back. I usually. Just let the others get on with it and don't get involved. Found its the best way forward!!
