Sunny Saturday

Morning folks ........ just writing this as I drink my coffee. Beautiful morning, warming up nicely. OH has been into town to collect his new daily contact lenses - he seems to be getting on well with them and is finding them very good at helping with his putting (he wanted to try them to see if they could help improve his golf!). He's also been out with Monty and I've been doing some housework. It seems to be never-ending atm but it's because I've really slowed down and everything takes me three times longer than it used to. I try to do "nice" things in the afternoon but really I ought to keep going through the day, but what the heck? There are no housework police in the area, but it does make me feel unsatisfied. Ah well, that's me for the day - forgive my mytherings.

Pip seems to be fine after his boosters yesterday and is his normal laid-back affectionate self.

Hope everyone's day goes well - chicken curry for supper!

Re: Sunny Saturday

Yoohoo! haven't been around much lately but here I am! Lots of busy things keeping me occupied, including getting really stuck into some knitting - trouble is I keep finding gorgeous yarn that I can't resist buying and have enough of a stash to keep me going all through the Winter!

The bedroom has recently been decorated and we treated ourselves to a new bed which is lovely and comfortable/supportive so I'm getting good sleep at last. Sorting out the delivery was a nightmare (thank you Benson's ) and we had to sleep for a week on the mattress on the floor but all is finally well (though the bank balance took a very hefty hit!)

OH has been out regularly for some solitary walks and collected about 8-9 kilos of blackberries over a couple of weeks. They've all been picked over, washed and frozen and I'm now getting round to making some blackberry and apple jam. Need to track down some marrows as his lordship wants some marrow and ginger jam too.

Our furry friends are all well and the wee grandson is a delight, such a happy jolly chap. I just wish we could see him every day instead of every few weeks. Off to catch up on reading some more posts - bye for now

Re: Sunny Saturday

evening all.
Angie i decree that you should continue to do nice things in the afternoon, well done
MrsH, glad you have a nice new bed, never heard of Marrow and Ginger jam, sounds interesting.
Had a lovely day at the doll fair, saw lots of dolly friends, sold plenty and bought myself a new doll
Took us out for a Chinese banquet tonight with some of the proceeds.
