Nasty Wet Thursday

Not nice today - OH and Monty got soaked on their walk. We have always dried Monty off with towels when he gets home but today, reasoning that a blower would be used on him at the groomer, we dried him off with towels and then used a hair dryer. OH held him close and rubbed his fur as I held the drier. He is certainly a much drier and warmer dog than usual. Sometimes he can get chilly and a bit shivery, but not today. If ONLY he'd wear his coat.

Not sure what to do today, breathing is not too good so I may just potter about with family history research or do a bit of calligraphy.

Kazz - how did your cruise go? I was hoping to hear details

Hope everyone is well. Stay dry if possible.

Well it WAS a lovely, sunny start to the day but I think I'm going to get very wet cycling home!
Dogs in coats always look so embarassed Angie.I think Monty want to be a toughie, just a shame he ends up shivering-probably not the macho image he was aiming for!

Re: Nasty Wet Thursday

evening everyone, the weather is pretty miserable here aswell today.

Angie, sounds like monty is trying to be a cool dog and go out without his jacket!!
CS hope you managed to dodge the rain on the way home.

Ive had an interesting couple of days back at work just now. I got onto the apprenticeship scheme in work which is a study course for a year and you get a recognised banking qualification at the end and i have also managed to get to the interview stages of another job within my work that i have gone for so fingers crossed for that!!

Just staying in tonight, oOH is at his friends house so i have the tv remotes!!!

Re: Nasty Wet Thursday

evening all
Angie, hope your breathing improves soon
Pamela, well done getting the apprenticeship and also to the interview stage, hope you get what you want.
Cs, hope you didn't get too wet on the way home
I had a great time with friends in London at the weekend, we visited some lovely places on the way down, including a model village in Bourton on the water, will try to post pics next week.
Monday we had to rescue a little staffie from a roof, he'd climbed out of the velux window, we got him down safely, just hope the neighbours take better care as he was on the roof again on Tuesday
Today i was offered extra hours at work so i have lots to think about over the weekend.
