Re: sunny saturday

Bright and very windy here and chilly. We have the heating on. My breathing is not very good today probably because of the sudden temperature drop and the wind, so I am staying put today. OH has a lovely smelling beef and ale casserole in the slow cooker for supper and he's made a lemon drizzle cake too!

Yes, it's just as well to keep busy Pamela - I have posted in Tara's thread. They are such big parts of family life, all animals and leave such sad gaps. ((((HUGS)))) to you and your sister and family.

Hope everyone has a good day - keep warm. Elaine, I hope you've dug your thermals out by now? I've invested in fleece lined trousers this season but haven't had to wear them out quite yet!

Re: sunny saturday

Hi all, we've lit the fire much to Smudge's delight!
We went over to see my parents today. Mum's not been well for a while after a small stroke and ended up in hospital last week. We took them out for lunch as Dad needed a bit of help persuading Mum to leave the house. She enjoyed herself and I think Dad was relieved. Mum has lost her confidence after a few falls but is using a frame now which seems to help.

Re: sunny saturday

CS, sorry to hear about you're Mum, glad she's managing to get out and about a bit.
Angie, sorry to hear you're breathing isn't too good. The Lemon drizzle cake sounds delicious, i love it.
Pamela, hope work went well.
I had a lovely time at the meeting, we had a talk about Preston guild, i managed to sell a few things, had a chat with dolly friends and enjoyed cake and coffee.
Tomorrow morning we go to Scotland.
